The 2011 comedy “Bridesmaids“ is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on May 12th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment.
It’s worth noting that the movie is celebrating its 15th Anniversary, with a majority of the cast having a reunion onstage at the 2026 Academy Awards just this past Sunday. Paul Feig directed the movie, which Kristen Wiig co-wrote, and Judd Apatow produced. It starred Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Rose Byrne, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Ellie Kemper, and Melissa McCarthy. The supporting cast included Rebel Wilson, Chris O’Dowd, Matt Lucas, Tim Heidecker, and Terry Crews.
The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.40:1 aspect ratio, Dolby Vision (HDR10 compatible) high dynamic range, and Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-100 disc. The release will be a 2-disc “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included. This release will feature both the UNRATED [131 minutes] cut and the theatrical version [125 minutes], both in 4K. This will include a digital code (copy) of the film compatible with Movies Anywhere.
