The 2011 film Bridesmaids is coming to 4K in May

The 2011 comedy Bridesmaids is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on May 12th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment.

It’s worth noting that the movie is celebrating its 15th Anniversary, with a majority of the cast having a reunion onstage at the 2026 Academy Awards just this past Sunday. Paul Feig directed the movie, which Kristen Wiig co-wrote, and Judd Apatow produced. It starred Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Rose Byrne, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Ellie Kemper, and Melissa McCarthy. The supporting cast included Rebel Wilson, Chris O’Dowd, Matt Lucas, Tim Heidecker, and Terry Crews.

The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.40:1 aspect ratio, Dolby Vision (HDR10 compatible) high dynamic range, and Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-100 disc. The release will be a 2-disc “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included. This release will feature both the UNRATED [131 minutes] cut and the theatrical version [125 minutes], both in 4K. This will include a digital code (copy) of the film compatible with Movies Anywhere.

The Killer’s Game comes to 4K and Blu-ray in November

The 2024 film The Killer’s Game will be released on November 19th on 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc via Lionsgate. The film was directed by J.J. Perry and stars Dave Bautista, Sofia Boutella, Scott Adkins, Terry Crews, and Daniel Bernhardt.

The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.00:1 aspect ratio in HDR10 form of high dynamic range with Dolby Atmos sound. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.00:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Atmos sound. The releases will both come as a “combo pack” with the 4K featuring its Blu-ray counterpart, the Blu-ray featuring its DVD counterpart, and each version will include a digital copy. The Longest Yard 2005 remake on Blu-ray in September

The 2005 remake of the film The Longest Yard starring Adam Sandler will be making its debut to the Blu-ray Disc format on September 21st via Paramount Home Entertainment. The film, directed by Peter Segal, co-starred Chris Rock, Nelly, Michael Irvin, Terry Crews, Tracy Morgan, Kevin Nash, Bill Goldberg, David Patrick Kelly, William Fichtner, and the late Burt Reynolds.

As mentioned, this will be the very first time this film has been available in Blu-ray format. The 2018 Boots Riley written and directed film Sorry to Bother You  starring Lakeith Stanfield is coming to Blu-ray Disc on October 23rd via Fox Home Entertainment. The film, at time of writing this, is “Certified Fresh” over at Rotten Tomatoes where its carrying a 93% rating based on the critics’ reviews. This comedy co-stars Tessa Thompson, Jermaine FowlerOmari HardwickTerry CrewsDanny GloverSteven YeunArmie HammerForest Whitaker, and also features the voices of David CrossPatton Oswalt, and Lily James.
