The 1992 film Howards End comes to 4K November

The 1992 film “Howards End“ is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on November 18th, courtesy of Cohen Film Collection, distributed by Kino Lorber. James Ivory directed the movie. It starred Emma Thompson, Anthony Hopkins, Vanessa Redgrave, and Helena Bonham Carter. The motion picture won a total of three Academy Awards (“Oscars”), including Best Actress in a Leading Role (Emma Thompson).
It has received a new 4K restoration from the original negative, overseen and approved by director James Ivory and cinematographer Tony Pierce-Roberts. The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 high dynamic range and lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound, on a BD-100 disc. This will come as a 2-disc set “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included.
The 4K UHD Blu-ray is now available for preorder on Amazon, as well as directly through Kino Lorber’s shop. The bonus materials set to be included on the release are listed below (sorted by disc).
