The 1985 film “Out of Africa“ is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on November 18th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. The movie, celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, was directed by Sydney Pollack. It starred [the late great] Robert Redford, as well as Meryl Streep. The motion picture co-starred Klaus Maria Brandauer, Michael Kitchen, Malick Bowens, Michael Gough, Suzanna Hamilton, Iman, and Rachel Kempson. The movie won a total of seven Academy Awards (“Oscars”), including “Best Picture,” “Best Director,” and “Best Cinematography.”
The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10, accompanied by Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-100 disc. The release will come as a 2-disc “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included along with a digital copy, compatible with Movies Anywhere.
