Born on the Fourth of July comes to 4K in November

The 1989 film “Born on the Fourth of July” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on November 12th via Shout Select (Shout! Studios). The film, directed and co-written by Oliver Stone, starred Tom Cruise, Kyra Sedgwick, Frank Whaley, Willem Dafoe, Tom Berenger, and Stephen Baldwin.
This release features a new 4K restoration from the original camera negative, supervised and approved by director Oliver Stone. The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.35:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos as well as DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround and 2.0 Stereo lossless sound mixes. The release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included. The 4K UHD Blu-ray is now available for preorder at Amazon, online retailer GRUV, and directly via Shout!
