The 2014 Wes Anderson directed-film “The Grand Budapest Hotel“ will be getting a Blu-ray Disc release from The Criterion Collection on April 28th. The film, previously released on Blu-ray from Universal back in 2014, featured a cast of Ralph Fiennes, F. Murray Abraham, Mathieu Amalric, Adrien Brody, Willem Dafoe, Jeff Goldblum, Harvey Keitel, Jude Law, Edward Norton, Tilda Swinton, Jason Schwartzman, and Bill Murray. The tech specs for the new Criterion Blu-ray include a 2K digital transfer, supervised by Wes Anderson, presented in 1080p HD video in a variety of aspect ratios (1.37:1, 1.85:1, and 2.40:1) with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 sound. The Criterion Collection Blu-ray of the film is now available for preorder over at Amazon and directly via the Criterion website. Bonus materials set to be included on the release are listed below.

The 2019 film “The Lighthouse” starring Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on January 7th, 2020 via Lionsgate. The film, directed by Robert Eggers, has received much critical acclaim during its theatrical run. In fact, at the time of writing, the film is “Certified Fresh” over at Rotten Tomatoes. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include 1080p HD video in the 1.19:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 sound. As of now, there’s no preorder listing up for the Blu-ray yet over at Amazon. It is listed over at the retailer Best Buy as coming soon. Stay tuned for an update when it becomes listed on Amazon. The release will come with a digital code (copy) of the film. The film, directed by James Wan, co-stars Willem Dafoe, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Nicole Kidman. Tech specs for the 4K release include 2160p video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio in both Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of High Dynamic Range with Dolby Atmos sound. The tech specs for the Blu-ray include 1080p video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio, without the sound format being yet specified. Stay tuned for an update on that. The release will come in an “Uncut Version” (UNRATED), not the R-rated theatrical cut. Tech specs for the release include full 2160p 4K video in the 2.35:1 aspect ratio and Dolby Atmos sound. Both varieties of High Dynamic Range, HDR10 and Dolby Vision will be included. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” with a Blu-ray Disc, as well as a Digital Copy, of the film also included.
