“Upgrade” starring Logan Marshall-Green is coming to Blu-ray Disc on August
The 2018 Leigh Whannell film “Upgrade” starring Logan Marshall-Green is coming to Blu-ray Disc on August 28th via Universal Studios. Tech specs for the release include full 1080p HD video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound. The release will come sadly with no bonus materials except for a Digital Copy of the film. “Upgrade” on Blu-ray is available for PRE-ORDER now over at Amazon.
“Tales from the Hood 2” featuring Keith David comes to Blu-ray Disc this October
The 2018 sequel “Tales from the Hood 2” is coming direct-to-video on Blu-ray Disc on October 2nd via Universal 1440 (a division of Universal Studios). The sequel to the original 1995 film was co-written and co-directed by Rusty Cundieff and Darin Scott. Most of you will remember Rusty as the director the original film, and some may recall that Darin co-wrote the original screenplay. Back again serving as executive producer on the film we have the legend that is Spike Lee. The cast will include another legend: Keith David.
Tech specs and bonus materials for the release have not yet been detailed, but stay tuned for an update on that. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” with a DVD and Digital Copy of the film included. The title is available for PRE-ORDER now over at Amazon. It’s worth giving credit that this news comes via Dread Central.

RUMOR: “The Big Lebowski” could be coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray in October
As you’ll see above there is a 4K UHD Blu-ray box set of “The Big Lebowski” coming to Italy via listings on various retailers via Universal Studios. Now this leads me to believe that we could see a release date around the same time here in the United States on 4K UHD Blu-ray around October 24th – as that is the release date in Italy. October 22nd would fall on a Tuesday or October 29th would as well here in the states. So, that could be possibly when we will get our hands on this amazingly cool looking box set and hopefully a standard 4K release as well. Stay tuned for any updates, including a pre-order on the US version of Amazon.

Amazon Italy is currently listing an interesting reissue of the cult comedy The Coen Brothers. The ” The Big Lebowski” – Collector’s Edition is equipped with the 4K version of the film on UHD Blu-ray (including German soundtrack) and also has a lot of special content such as an exclusive bag for the bowling ballet, a mini-cardigan by Drugo, a bowling ball and much more. Available from 24th October 2018 .

The 2018 Baltasar Kormakur directed film “Adrift” starring Shailene Woodley and Sam Claflin is coming to Blu-ray Disc on September 4th via Universal Studios. The film has received some good reviews by critics, and has a pretty good rating over at Rotten Tomatoes. Tech specs for the release include full 1080p HD video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD 7.1 Master Audio sound. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” with a DVD and Digital Copy of the film included. This upcoming title is now available for PRE-ORDER over at Amazon. 2010 “Robin Hood” starring Russell Crowe is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray in September
The 2010 Ridley Scott directed film adaptation of “Robin Hood” starring Russell Crowe is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on September 11th via Universal. The release will come with an UNRATED Director’s Cut (156 min) of the film, as well as the Theatrical cut (141 min). Tech specs for the release include full 2160p 4K in the 2.40:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 High Dynamic Range and DTS:X sound. This will come in the form of a “combo pack” release with a Blu-ray Disc and Digital Copy of the film included. Bonus materials set to be included on Blu-ray of the release are listed below.

RUMOR: “Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom” on 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray 3D September
EDITORIAL NOTE: Now this is only a “rumor” at this point, so take it with a “grain of salt” so-to-speak until we get an official release announcement, but here is some early release date news for you.
It would appear, in an early alert to retailers, that “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray, Blu-ray Disc, and Blu-ray 3D on September 18th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. The release is available for PRE-ORDER over at Amazon on the said formats, just click the links above. Tech specs and bonus materials have not been detailed yet. It appears that the 4K and Blu-ray 3D will come in the form of “combo pack” with a Blu-ray Disc, and a Digital Copy of the film included – while the Blu-ray Disc release will include a DVD, and Digital Copy of the film. Stay tuned for further updates, and most importantly for an official press release announcement from the studio (Universal) confirming that rumored release date leaked by a certain retailer.

2017 film “Aardvark” starring Zachary Quinto is coming to Blu-ray in August
Universal Studios plans to bring the 2017 Brian Shoaf written & directed film “Aardvark” starring Zachary Quinto to Blu-ray Disc on August 7th. The film features supporting performances from Jenny Slate, Jon Hamm, and Sheila Vand. Tech specs for the release include full 1080p HD video in the 2.40:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound. This is available for PRE-ORDER now over at Amazon. The release will come with a Digital Copy of the film. The only bonus material slated to be included on the release is a “Making of Aardvark” featurette.
