The 2008 adaptation of Speed Racer comes to 4K in May

The 2008 live-action film adaptation of “Speed Racer” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook on May 19th via Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment.
The movie was co-directed, and the adaptation was co-written by The Wachowskis, Lana Wachowski, and Lilly Wachowski. The movie starred Emile Hirsch, Christina Ricci, John Goodman, Susan Sarandon, Matthew Fox, and Richard Roundtree.
The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.35:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (HDR10 compatible), high dynamic range, and Dolby Atmos and lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound. The standard 4K and 4K SteelBook will each come with a digital code (copy) of the movie compatible with Movies Anywhere.
The standard 4K UHD Blu-ray (pictured above) is now available for preorder at Amazon. The 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook is currently sold out at Amazon, GRUV, and Walmart. Stay tuned for an update if they come back in stock. The finalized retail packaging for it has yet to be officially unveiled, as it’s currently using temporary art.
