“The SpongeBob Movie: Search for Squarepants” will be released on Blu-ray Disc and Blu-ray SteelBook on March 3rd via Paramount.

Derek Drymon directed the movie. It features the voice talents of Tom Kenny, Bill Fagerbakke, Clancy Brown, Rodger Bumpass, Carolyn Lawrence, and Mr. Lawrence, as well as George Lopez.

The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio and lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 surround sound, on a BD-50 disc. The Blu-ray release(s) will come as a 2-disc “combo pack” with its DVD counterpart included, as well as a digital code (copy).

The standard Blu-ray is now available for preorder at Amazon and Walmart. The Blu-ray SteelBook is an exclusive at retailer Walmart, where it is now available for preorder. The bonus material set to be included on the Blu-ray release(s) has not yet been fully detailed. Stay tuned for an update on that.
