The 1989 film Uncle Buck is coming to 4K in February

The 1989 film “Uncle Buck” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on February 18th via KL Studio Classics. The film was written & directed by John Hughes. It starred John Candy, Macaulay Culkin, Jean Louisa Kelly, Gaby Hoffmann, Amy Madigan, Laurie Metcalf, Mike Starr, Garrett M. Brown, and Elaine Bromka.
The movie has received a new 4K master, from a 4K scan of the 35mm original camera negative. The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision or HDR10 forms of high dynamic range on a BD-100 disc. Audio will be presented in DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround and Lossless 2.0 Stereo. The release will come as a “combo pack” with a Blu-ray Disc counterpart included.
UPDATED: The 4K UHD Blu-ray is now available for preorder at Amazon and directly via Kino Lorber’s website. This 2-disc set includes the following bonus materials.
