– Amazon Commissions Earned –The 2020 film “Emma.“ starring Anya Taylor-Joy is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on May 19th, via Universal. The film, based on the classic Jane Austen novel and directed by Autumn de Wilde, co-stars Johnny Flynn, Bill Nighy, Callum Turner, Mia Goth, Josh O’Connor, Miranda Hart, Tanya Reynolds, Gemma Whelan, and Rupert Graves. The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 1.78:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 sound. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” meaning that it will include its DVD counterpart as well as a digital code (copy) of the film. – Amazon Commissions Earned – It seems we might be getting an idea of when to expect the rumored release of the 1985 Richard Donner film “The Goonies” on 4K UHD Blu-ray, via Warner. The release date previously said/reported to be coming in June, is now showing as September 1st over at retailer Best Buy for their Exclusive 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook release (pictured below). Meanwhile, the preorder listings are up for the standard 4K UHD Blu-ray (featuring the artwork above) over at retailers Target and Walmart. Stay tuned for further updates regarding this release as things become a bit more detailed and official. The last only other detail I have right now is that the 4K release will come in the form of a “combo pack” meaning that it will receive its Blu-ray Disc counterpart as well as a digital code (copy) of the film.

– Amazon Commissions Earned –The classic 1975 film “Jaws“ directed by Steven Spielberg is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on June 2nd, according to a full press release just issued by Universal Studios Home Entertainment. The film, a winner of a total of three Academy Awards (“Oscars”), starred Roy Scheider, Robert Shaw, Richard Dreyfuss, Lorraine Gary, and Murray Hamilton. The new 45th Anniversary Limited Edition of the film on 4K will be available in various forms including a collectible lenticular packaging with a 44-page booklet (pictured below in high resolution).

The film, directed by Leigh Whannell & produced by Jason Blum‘s Blumhouse, stars Elisabeth Moss, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Harriet Dyer, Aldis Hodge, Storm Reid, and Michael Dorman. The film received a very good response from both film critics and moviegoers, in fact, it carries a “Certified Fresh” rating over at Rotten Tomatoes. Tech specs for the 4K release include video presented in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+ forms of High Dynamic Range and Dolby Atmos sound on a BD-100 (100 gigabytes) disc.
