Amazon Commissions EarnedThe 2021 TV series “Sweet Tooth: The Complete First Season” is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on October 11th via Warner Archive Collection, part of Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. The show, as seen on Netflix, stars Nonso Anozie, Christian Convery, Aliza Vellani, Stefania LaVie Owen, and Dania Ramirez, and it features voice narration by James Brolin. It’s also worth noting that this series is produced by Susan Downey and Robert Downey Jr.‘s Team Downey production company.
Tech specs for the release include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.20:1 aspect ratio and a lossless 5.1 surround mix — presumably in DTS-HD Master Audio but yet to be confirmed. You can now find the Blu-ray finally available for preorder over at Amazon. There will be no bonus materials included with this release.

Amazon Commissions EarnedThe 1980 film “Used Cars” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on November 15th [as spine #67] in the Shout Select line from Shout! Factory. The film, directed and co-written by Robert Zemeckis, starred Kurt Russell, Gerrit Graham, Frank McRae, Deborah Harmon, Joe Flaherty, David L. Lander, Michael McKean, and Jack Warden.
The film has received a new 4K from the original camera negative. Tech specs for the release have not been fully detailed but you can expect a 2160p video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio presumably with at least HDR10 form of high dynamic range. The sound configuration has not yet been detailed, but if it is the same as the 2019 Blu-ray, should again include DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround and 2.0 Mono lossless sound mixes. This upcoming 2022 4K UHD Blu-ray release will come in the form of a “Collector’s Edition” 2-disc “combo pack” with the Blu-ray counterpart included.

The 1975 film “Rollerball” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on November 22nd via Scream Factory (Shout! Factory). The film, directed by Norman Jewison, starred James Caan, John Houseman, John Beck, Moses Gunn, Maud Adams, Pamela Hensley, and Barbara Trentham.
The tech specs for the release have not yet been detailed but you can expect a 2160p video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with presumably [at least] HDR10 form of high dynamic range. No specifics, again on tech specs, but I’d say this will include lossless audio for sure, likely in 5.1 and 2.0 configurations. It’s already known, and most worth certainly noting, that this will be a 4K UHD Blu-ray Disc release only, with no Blu-ray included.

The film, directed & co-written by Neil Jordan, starred Angela Lansbury, Sarah Patterson, Graham Crowden, Kathryn Pogson, Stephen Rea, Georgia Slowe, Micha Bergese, and Terence Stamp.
The tech specs for the release have not yet been detailed but you can expect a 2160p video presentation in the 1.66:1 aspect ratio with likely [at least] HDR10 form of high dynamic range. No word yet on the audio but I’m willing to bet that you can expect at least a lossless Stereo 2.0 mix. Also, the extras are “currently in progress” so check back later for an update on that as well. The 2-disc Collector’s Edition release will come in the form of a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included.

Amazon Commissions EarnedThe 2022 Marvel Studios sequel “Thor: Love and Thunder” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on September 27th via Disney, according to retailers. The film, directed by Taika Waititi, stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, Tessa Thompson, Russell Crowe, Chris Pratt, Jaimie Alexander, Dave Bautista, Sean Gunn, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, and the director himself (Taika Waititi).
The 4K UHD Blu-ray tech specs include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 lossless surround sound. The 4K release will come in the form of a “combo pack” meaning it will include the Blu-ray Disc counterpart. Both the 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases will each include a digital code (copy) of the film which is compatible with Movies Anywhere.

There will officially be a “Universal Classic Monsters: Icons of Horror Collection – Vol. 2” coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on October 11th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. The set will include four horror classics, as listed below.
The tech specs for the films each include Black & White 2160p video presentations in the 1.33:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of high dynamic range and DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 Mono lossless sound mixes. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” meaning that you will get the Blu-ray counterparts for each film as well as the digital code (copy) for each.

The film, winner of 3 Academy Awards, directed by Robert Mulligan, starred Gregory Peck, John Megna, Mary Badham, Phillip Alford, Ruth White, Paul Fix, Brock Peters, Frank Overton, Rosemary Murphy, Collin Wilcox, and Robert Duvall.
The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p Black & White video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of high dynamic range along with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround and lossy DTS 2.0 Mono sound mixes on a BD-100 disc. Tech specs for the new 60th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray include a 1080p HD Black & White video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD MA 5.1 and DTS 2.0 Mono sound mixes on a BD-50 disc. The releases will come in the form of a “combo pack” with the 4K getting its Blu-ray counterpart, the Blu-ray getting its DVD counterpart, and each including a digital code (copy) of the film.
