The Jet Li Collection is coming to 4K in late July

“The Jet Li Collection” comes to 4K UHD Blu-ray on July 29th via Hong Kong Cinema Classics, presented by Shout! Studios. The box set will feature 5 different films starring martial artist/actor Jet Li. Those films include:
- “Fist of Legend” (1994) directed by Gordon Chan
- “Tai Chi Master” (1993) directed by Yuen Woo-Ping
- “Fong Sai Yuk” (1993) directed by Corey Yuen
- “Fong Sai Yuk II” (1993) directed by Corey Yuen
- “The Bodyguard from Beijing” (1994) directed by Corey Yuen
The five movies have all been scanned in 4K and feature matching tech specs. These include a 4K video presentation (for each) in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision or HDR10 form of high dynamic range. The audio (for each) will include the original Cantonese in lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 Mono, featuring English subtitles. This 10-disc set will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterparts included for each film.

TAI CHI MASTER

Two Shaolin monks – one placid and humble, the other fiery and competitive – are expelled from their temple after a false accusation of cheating. Self-assured with the kung fu skills to back it up, Fong Sai-Yuk (Jet Li) is one of the best fighters in the area. Having failed a secret mission for the Red Flower Society, Chinese folk hero Fong Sai Yuk (Jet Li) must try to get his hands on a special document by wooing the governor’s daughter, Man-Yin (Amy Kwok). This doesn’t sit well with his fiancée, Ting Ting (Michelle Reis), or with his martial arts-master mother (Josephine Hsiao).
