The 1974 film “Chinatown“ will get a standard 4K UHD Blu-ray release on January 14th via Paramount Home Media Distribution. The film was directed by Roman Polanski and starred Jack Nicholson, Faye Dunaway, John Huston, Burt Young, Diane Ladd, and Perry Lopez.

The tech specs for the release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.35:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 lossless surround sound. The release will come with a digital copy. NOTE: This movie was previously released in the Paramount Presents line on 4K UHD Blu-ray but has since gone out of print. And, as a result goes for a high price resold on services like eBay. This new release will offer consumers a new and much more affordable release.
