Mommie Dearest starring Faye Dunaway on Blu-ray in June

The 1981 film “Mommie Dearest” starring Faye Dunaway is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on June 1st via Paramount Presents. This film, which will be spine number 17 in the series, was directed by Frank Perry and is based on the abusive relationship between actress Joan Crawford and her daughter Christina Crawford — who wrote the book it is based on. It co-starred Diana Scarwid, Steve Forrest, Howard Da Silva, and Rutanya Alda. The tech specs for the release have not yet been detailed but it is known that this release has received a new 4K scan and restoration. Stay tuned for an update regarding the specifics for the aspect ratio and audio format hopefully soon in an update. This Blu-ray release will come with a digital copy of the film.
