Mommie Dearest starring Faye Dunaway on Blu-ray in June

The 1981 film “Mommie Dearest” starring Faye Dunaway is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on June 1st via Paramount Presents. This film, which will be spine number 17 in the series, was directed by Frank Perry and is based on the abusive relationship between actress Joan Crawford and her daughter Christina Crawford — who wrote the book it is based on. It co-starred Diana ScarwidSteve Forrest, Howard Da Silva, and Rutanya Alda. The tech specs for the release have not yet been detailed but it is known that this release has received a new 4K scan and restoration. Stay tuned for an update regarding the specifics for the aspect ratio and audio format hopefully soon in an update. This Blu-ray release will come with a digital copy of the film. 1984 film adaptation of “Supergirl” comes to Blu-ray in July via Warner Archive

The 1984 film adaptation of DC Comics‘ “Supergirl” starring Helen Slater and Faye Dunaway is coming to Blu-ray Disc on July 24th, in a limited release via the Warner Archive Collection. You already can PRE-ORDER the title either over at Amazon or directly from Warner. This release obviously comes from Warner Brothers. Tech specs for the release have not yet been detailed, but you can for sure expect full 1080p HD video, no clue if it will be presented in the original theatrical 2.35:1 aspect ratio or not, and also no clue yet what sound format it will be presented in. Stay tuned for a possible update.
