The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.35:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (HDR10 compatible) high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-100 disc. Nobody 2 is coming to 4K and Blu-ray in October

The 2025 film “Nobody 2” is slated for 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray release on October 7th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. Timo Tjahjanto directed the movie. It stars Bob Odenkirk, Connie Nielsen, Christopher Lloyd, RZA, John Ortiz, Sharon Stone, and Colin Hanks. It’s worth noting this movie is “Certified Fresh” (based on critics) and “Verified Hot” (based on audiences) at Rotten Tomatoes.

The 4K UHD Blu-ray tech specs include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio, accompanied by Dolby Vision and HDR10, and featuring Dolby Atmos, on a BD-66 disc. Technical specifications for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-50 disc. The 4K release will come as a 2-disc “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included. Both releases will feature a digital copy of the film, compatible with Movies Anywhere.

Back to the Future celebrates 40th anniversary

The “Back to the Future” trilogy and franchise will celebrate its 40th anniversary with new 4K UHD Blu-ray releases on November 4th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. This will include a limited-edition 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook (pictured above) for each film, as well as a 4K UHD Blu-ray 40th Anniversary Trilogy, and a very limited-edition 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook 40th Anniversary Trilogy Giftset. That giftset (pictured further below) will be an exclusive at the retailer Amazon.

UPDATED: The release dates have been changed from October to November 4th. This new release date applies to all 40th anniversary edition releases.

As far as the Amazon exclusive 40th Anniversary Trilogy 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook Giftset, it has a listing, but it’s currently unavailable for preorder. The 2025 DreamWorks Animation sequel “The Bad Guys 2” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray on October 7th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. The movie was co-directed by Pierre Perifel and JP Sans. This features the voice talents of Sam Rockwell, Marc Maron, Craig Robinson, Anthony Ramos, and Awkwafina. Its voice cast co-stars Zazie Beetz, Lily Singh, Alex Borstein, and Richard Ayoade. “Alfred Hitchcock: The Ultimate Collection” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray on October 14th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. This “ultimate collection” consists of a total of 15 films, listed below.

  • “The Trouble with Harry” (1955)
  • “The Man Who Knew Too Much” (1956)

The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray set include a 2160p video presentation for each film, available in various aspect ratios and sound formats. These all will feature the HDR10 form of high dynamic range. “North by Northwest” will be the only one to feature Dolby Atmos sound. Meanwhile, the other films will be presented in a variety of DTS:X and DTS-HD Master Audio lossless Mono sound mixes. The tech specs for the Blu-ray will reflect this same variety of aspect ratios and sound formats, but will be presented in 1080p HD. The sound formats will likely be in lossless 5.1 surround sound for “North by Northwest.” The other films in the set, on Blu-ray, will feature an assortment of DTS:X and DTS-HD Master Audio Mono sound.

NOTE: All fifteen of these movies have previously been released in sets and/or individually over the years on the 4K UHD Blu-ray format. This will, however, mark the first time they have all been included together in one set.

Emergency! The Complete Series gets Blu-ray set

The classic TV series Emergency! The Complete Series is coming to Blu-ray Disc on August 26th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. The show starred Kevin Tighe, Randolph Mantooth, Julie London, Joanna Kern, and Linda Gray.

The tech specs for this 28-disc Blu-ray set include 1080p HD video in a 1.33:1 aspect ratio and lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 Mono sound.

The Blu-ray set is not yet available (as a functional preorder) at Amazon, but stay tuned for an update. In the meantime, you can find the Blu-ray set available for preorder at GRUV and MovieZyng. The only bonus material that will be included is an “Adam-12” Crossover Episode,Lost and Found.”
