Things to Do in Denver When You’re Dead on 4K

The 1995 film “Things to Do in Denver When You’re Dead” will come to 4K UHD Blu-ray. It will also be available in a Special Edition Blu-ray. Both will be released on April 29th via KL Studio Classics. Gary Fleder directed the movie. It starred Andy GarciaChristopher WalkenChristopher LloydGabrielle AnwarTreat WilliamsSteve BuscemiBill Nunn, and William Forsythe.

The movie has received a new master from a 4K Scan of the 35mm original camera negative. The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (or HDR10) and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround and 2.0 stereo sound, on a BD-100 disc. Tech specs for the Special Edition Blu-ray include a 1080p video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and 2.0 sound, on a BD-50 disc.

The 4K UHD Blu-ray and Special Edition Blu-ray are now available for preorder at Amazon. You can also preorder directly the 4K and Blu-ray Special Edition on Kino Lorber’s website. The 4K release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included. The bonus materials to be included with the releases are listed below sorted by disc.

1996 film The Craft gets 4K Collector’s Edition in May

The 1996 film The Craft is officially getting a 4K UHD Blu-ray “Collector’s Edition” release on May 17th by Scream Factory (Shout! Factory).  The film, directed and co-written by Andrew Fleming, starred Fairuza Balk, Robin Tunney, Neve Campbell, Rachel True, Skeet Ulrich, Christine Taylor, and Breckin Meyer.

This comes from a new 4K restoration done by Sony.  The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with presumably HDR10 form of high dynamic range and a lossless 5.1 surround sound mix, although not yet confirmed.  The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” meaning that it will include its Blu-ray Disc counterpart.  You can find the 4K UHD Blu-ray Collector’s Edition available for preorder over at Amazon or directly via ShoutFactory.com where you’ll get an exclusive poster (while supplies last).

The 1996 film The Craft is getting a Collector’s Edition Blu-ray Disc release on March 12th, via Scream Factory. The film, directed by Andrew Fleming, featured a cast of Fairuza Balk, Robin TunneyNeve Campbell, Rachel True, and Skeet Ulrich.
