2025 Lilo & Stitch on 4K on Blu-ray in August

The 2025 live-action film adaptation of “Lilo & Stitch” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook and Blu-ray on August 26th via Disney.  Dean Fleischer Camp directed the movie. It stars Sydney Elizebeth Agudong, Billy Magnussen, Tia Carrere, Hannah Waddingham, and Chris Sanders. It also stars Courtney B. Vance, Zach Galifianakis, and Maia Kealoha. It’s worth noting that this movie is “Verified Hot” (by audiences) on Rotten Tomatoes.

The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 as well as Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-66 disc. The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 surround sound, on a BD-50 disc. The 4K and Blu-ray will both come as a 2-disc “combo pack” with the 4K getting its Blu-ray counterpart and the Blu-ray getting its DVD counterpart. Both releases will include a digital copy of the film compatible with Movies Anywhere.

You cannot yet find the 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook (pictured below in detail) or the Blu-ray available for preorder at Amazon or Walmart yet. Stay tuned for an update.

Lovecraft Country The Complete First Season on Blu-ray

The HBO original TV series “Lovecraft Country: The Complete First Season” is coming to Blu-ray on February 16th via Warner. The show, created by Misha Green, is executive produced by J.J. Abrams and Jordan Peele. The cast for the first season of the show included Jurnee Smollett, Jonathan Majors, Aunjanue Ellis, Wunmi Mosaku, Abbey Lee, Jamie Chung, Jada Harris, Michael K. William, Courtney B. Vance, Jamie Neumann, Jordan Patrick Smith, and Tony Goldwyn. Tech specs for the Blu-ray, spanning across a 3-disc set, includes a 1080p HD video presentation in the 1.78:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound. 2020 film “The Photograph” comes to Blu-ray May

The 2020 film “The Photograph“ is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on May 12th, via Universal. The film, written & directed by Stella Meghie, stars Issa Rae, LaKeith Stanfield, Chelsea Peretti, Lil Rel Howery, Rob Morgan, and Courtney B. Vance. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include 1080p HD video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 sound. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” meaning that it will get the DVD counterpart and a digital code (copy) of the film. You can now find the Blu-ray available for preorder over at Amazon. The bonus materials set to be included are listed below.

The 2018 Peter Hedges film “Ben Is Back“ starring Julia Roberts and Lucas Hedges is coming to Blu-ray Disc on March 5th, via Lionsgate. The film has received much critical acclaim, in fact, it’s “Certified Fresh” over at Rotten Tomatoes. The supporting cast includes Courtney B. Vance and Kathryn Newton. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include 1080p video in the 2.35:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” with a DVD and Digital Copy of the film included. The Blu-ray is now available for pre-order over at Amazon.
