The complete limited series “Scott Pilgrim Takes Off“ is coming to Blu-ray Disc on December 2nd via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. The TV series was originally available streaming on Netflix. It was co-created by BenDavid Grabinski and the creator of the “Scott Pilgrim” graphic novels, Bryan Lee O’Malley. It’s certainly worth noting that Edgar Wright served as an executive producer on the series. The animated series featured the voices of Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Kieran Culkin, Chris Evans, Anna Kendrick, Brie Larson, Allison Pill, Aubrey Plaza, Brandon Routh, Jason Schwartzman, and Mae Whitman.

The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 1.78:1 aspect ratio with lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound.

The Blu-ray is now available for preorder at Amazon and online retailer MovieZyng. The only bonus material set to be included with the release is audio commentary, listed below.

The 2025 nature documentary / limited series “The Americas” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray on November 18th, courtesy of Universal Studios Home Entertainment. Tom Hanks narrated the mini-series. It was seen on NBC and streaming on Peacock. It was nominated for 2 Primetime Emmys.

The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.78:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (HDR10 compatible) high dynamic range and lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound, spanning across a 2-disc set. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 1.78:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD MA 5.1 sound, on a 2-disc set.

The 4K UHD Blu-ray is now available for preorder at Amazon. The Blu-ray, however, is not yet available at Amazon to preorder, so stay tuned for an update. American Psycho gets 25th Anniversary Edition 4K

The 2000 film “American Psycho“ will get a 25th Anniversary Collector’s Edition 4K UHD Blu-ray release on December 9th exclusively via Lionsgate Limited. Mary Harron directed the motion picture adaptation of the Bret Easton Ellis novel (of the same title). The movie starred Christian Bale, Reese Witherspoon, Jared Leto, Chloë Sevigny, Justin Theroux, Josh Lucas, Bill Sage, Samantha Mathis, Matt Ross, and Willem Dafoe.

The tech specs for the release include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (HDR10 compatible) and Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-100 disc. The release will be the UNRATED Uncut Version (102 minutes), not the theatrical R-rated version.

The release will include some very imaginative packaging with a certain twist for those who are fans of the Huey Lewis and the News album “Sports.” The 4K disc will come packaged inside a CD jewel case along with some business cards to die for, as well as replica credit and Blockbuster membership cards (as seen below).

The 25th Anniversary Collector’s Edition 4K UHD Blu-ray is now available exclusively for preorder via the Lionsgate Limited website. It’s also worth noting that a VHS “Be Kind, Rewind” edition of the film will also be available in December via Lionsgate Limited as an exclusive. The 2025 film “A Big Bold Beautiful Journey” arrives on Blu-ray Disc on December 23rd via Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. Kogonada directed the movie, which stars Margot Robbie and Colin Farrell. It co-stars Kevin Kline, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Jennifer Grant, and Hamish Linklater.

The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 2.00:1 aspect ratio with lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound, on a BD-50 disc. The release will include a digital copy of the film, compatible with Movies Anywhere.

The 2006 film Nacho Libre gets a 4K in December

The 2006 film “Nacho Libre” is officially making its debut on 4K UHD Blu-ray on December 9th via KL Studio Classics (Kino Lorber). Jared Hess co-wrote and directed the movie. It starred Jack Black, Ana de la Reguera, Héctor Jiménez, Darius Rose, Moises Arias, and Cesar Gonzalez.

This has received a 4K Scan of the 35mm original camera negative. The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.85:1 ratio with Dolby Vision (HDR10 compatible), high dynamic range, and lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround and 2.0 stereo sound, on a BD-100 disc. This release will come as a 2-disc “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included.

Jay Roach directed the movie, which stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Olivia Colman. It co-stars Andy Samberg, Kate McKinnon, Allison Janney, Sunita Mani, Ncuti Gatwa, Zoë Chao, and Jamie Demetriou. This movie is a reimagining of the 1989 classic film “The War of the Roses,” based on the novel by Warren Adler.
