1967 film The Producers gets Special Edition Blu-ray in April

The 1967 Mel Brooks film “The Producers” will officially be getting a Special Edition Blu-ray Disc release on April 13th via KL Studio Classics (Kino Lorber). The film, both written & directed by Mel Brooks, starred Zero Mostel, Gene Wilder, and Dick Shawn. The movie has received a new 4K restoration. The tech specs for the release include a 1080p HD presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 Mono sound on a BD-50 (dual-layered 50 gigabytes) disc. You can now find the upcoming Special Edition Blu-ray available for preorder over at Amazon and directly via Kino Lorber.
