The Jim Henson Company produced TV series “Farscape: The Complete Series“ will be getting a “20th Anniversary” Blu-ray Disc set released on November 19th via Sony. The Australian-American television series originally aired in 1999 and ran for a total of four seasons. The show’s cast included Ben Browder, Claudia Black, Anthony Simcoe, Lani John Tupu, Jonathan Hardy, Gigi Edgley, and Wayne Pygram. Tech specs for this new Blu-ray set include 1080p HD video in both 1.33:1 and 1.78:1 aspect ratios with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 sound. This special “20th Anniversary” Blu-ray set will finally include the two-part finale mini-series “Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars“ from 2004. BLU-RAY BONUS MATERIALS
It should be noted that this series has previously been released on the Blu-ray format back in 2014, as a “15th Anniversary” edition – without the 2-part mini-series (mentioned above). Further below, after the break, you can find the official announcement regarding this upcoming Blu-ray set.
The 2019 sequel “47 Meters Down: Uncaged” is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on November 12th via Lionsgate. The film, directed by Johannes Roberts, stars Sophie Nélisse, Corinne Foxx, Brianne Tju, Sistine Rose Stallone, Brec Bassinger, and John Corbett. Tech specs for the Blu-ray have not yet been detailed. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” with a DVD counterpart and digital code (copy) of the film. Bonus materials also have not yet been detailed. There’s currently no preorder listing yet over at Amazon but that should change soon. There is a placeholder page over at retailer Best Buy but it’s not yet functional (only listed as “coming soon”). The film, directed by Simon Curtis & based on the Garth Stein novel, stars Milo Ventimiglia, Amanda Seyfried, Kathy Baker, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Gary Cole, Martin Donovan, and features the voice of Kevin Costner. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include 1080p HD video in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 sound. The release will come with a digital code (copy) of the film. Tech specs for the 4K include 2160p video in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 and Dolby Vision forms of High Dynamic Range and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 sound. The film, written & directed by Tyler Nilson and Michael Schwartz, stars Shia LaBeouf, Dakota Johnson, John Hawkes, Thomas Haden Church, Bruce Dern, Jon Bernthal, and Zack Gottsagen. As mentioned, critics really liked this film and at the time of writing it carries a “Certified Fresh” rating over at Rotten Tomatoes. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include 1080p video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 sound. The release will come with a digital code (copy) of the film. The film, directed by André Øvredal, stars Zoe Margaret Colletti, Michael Garza, Dean Norris, Gil Bellows, Lorraine Toussaint, Gabriel Rush, Austin Zajur, Natalie Ganzhorn, Austin Abrams, and Mark Steger. Tech specs for the 4K include 2160p video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 and Dolby Vision forms of High Dynamic Range and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 sound. The tech specs for the Blu-ray include 1080p video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 sound. The releases will both come in form of “combo pack” with the 4K getting the Blu-ray counterpart, the Blu-ray getting a DVD, and both getting a digital code (copy) of the film.
