Martial arts comedy The Paper Tigers on Blu-ray in June

The 2020 martial arts comedy The Paper Tigers is coming to Blu-ray Disc on June 22nd via Well Go USA. The film, written & directed by Quoc Bao Tran, stars Alain UyRon Yuan, and Mykel Shannon Jenkins. It is certainly worth noting that the film, at the time of writing this, based on the critics, is “Certified Fresh” over at Rotten Tomatoes with a 100% rating. The tech specs for the Blu-ray release include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio and English DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 sound. The Blu-ray is now available for preorder over at Amazon as well as over at retailers Best Buy and Target. The bonus materials set to be included with the release are listed below.

Ip Man The Complete Collection comes to 4K in December

The “Ip Man: The Complete Collection” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on December 15th via Well Go USA. The set includes the four films “Ip Man” (2008), “Ip Man 2: Legend of the Grand Master” (2010), “Ip Man 3” (2015), and “Ip Man 4: The Finale” (2019). All four of the films, directed by Wilson Yip and starring Donnie Yen, have been remastered in 4K. The tech specs for the 8-disc set include a 4K presentation in original 2.35:1 aspect ratios, for all of the films, with HDR10 and Dolby Vision forms of high dynamic range as well as Dolby Atmos sound in Cantonese. There will also be audio options for English, Spanish, and even French (on one film), as well as subtitles in English. You can now find this 4K UHD Blu-ray set available for preorder over at Amazon.

The 8-disc set will come as a “combo pack” meaning that it will also include its Blu-ray Disc counterparts as well. The limited-edition set will also include a double-sided poster and a compendium booklet (as pictured below with the packaging).

2018 film “Shadow” on 4K and Blu-ray in August

The 2018 Chinese film “Shadow” is coming to both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on August 13th via Well Go USA, according to retailers. The film, directed by Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Zhang Yimou (“Hero” / “House of Flying Daggers”), stars Chao DengLi SunRyan Zheng, Qianyuan Wang, Jingchun Wang, Jun Hu, and Xiaotong Guan. The film has received much critical acclaim so far. In fact, it (at time of writing) is “Certified Fresh” over at Rotten Tomatoes.

The tech specs for the 4K include 2160p video in the 2.35:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of High Dynamic Range and Dolby Atmos sound. Technical specs for the Blu-ray include 1080p video in the 2.35:1 aspect ratio and Dolby Atmos sound. Both releases include both a Mandarin (Chinese) and English dubbed language tracks with English and Chinese subtitles. The two releases will each come in the form of “combo pack” with the 4K getting a Blu-ray and the Blu-ray getting a DVD included. 2018 Chinese film “Operation Red Sea” from Dante Lam on Blu-ray July

Well Go USA Entertainment has announced plans to bring the 2018 Chinese film “Operation Red Sea” by acclaimed Hong Kong director Dante Lam to Blu-ray Disc on July 24th. The film seems to have received a warm reception from critics, as it carries a 83% (out of 100%) rating over on Rotten Tomatoes.  Tech specs for the release include full 1080p HD video in the 2.35:1 aspect ratio and both DTS:X and Dolby Digital 5.1 audio in Mandarin language with English & Chinese subtitles. The Blu-ray Disc is available for PRE-ORDER now over at Amazon. Bonus materials set to be included on the release include Deleted Scenes and Trailers.
