The 1980 film Private Benjamin on Blu-ray in April

Howard Zieff directed the movie, which starred Goldie Hawn. The film co-starred Eileen Brennan, Albert Brooks, Mary Kay Place, Armand Assante, and the late Harry Dean Stanton. George Stevens: A Filmmaker’s Journey on 4K in April

It features interviews with Fred Astaire, Warren Beatty, Montgomery Clift, James Dean, Cary Grant, Katharine Hepburn, Rock Hudson, Alan Ladd, Spencer Tracy, Frank Capra, Douglas Fairbanks Jr., Elizabeth Taylor, Max von Sydow, Shelley Winters, Hal Roach, and many others.

The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.37:1 aspect ratio in Dolby Vision (HDR10 compatible) high dynamic range with lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 Mono sound, on a BD-66 disc. The release will come as a 2-disc “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included.

Hanna-Barbera’s Superstars 10 on Blu-ray in February

There will be a release of the “Hanna-Barbera’s Superstars 10” complete film collection on Blu-ray Disc on February 20th in a box set (pictured above) as well as in individual releases (pictured below) via Warner Archive.

“In 1987, the legendary animation team of William Hanna and Joseph Barbera brought forth a series of ten feature-length animated features to television, all of which would feature their most popular cartoon characters. These films were sold into syndication as the HANNA-BARBERA SUPERSTARS 10, each providing irresistible entertainment. Yogi Bear and Scooby-Doo each star in three productions, along with a one-time only meeting of THE FLINTSTONES and THE JETSONS, Judy Jetson takes the spotlight in her own adventure, while HUCKLEBERRY HOUND heads up an exciting all-star Western, and the loveable TOP CAT and his gang star is a story set in Beverly Hills. For these productions, Hanna-Barbera was able to use many of the original performers who provided their voice talents in the original incarnations to re-create their roles for these films. Sweet Tooth First Season on Blu-ray in October

The 2021 TV series “Sweet Tooth: The Complete First Season” is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on October 11th via Warner Archive Collection, part of Warner Bros. Home Entertainment.  The show, as seen on Netflix, stars Nonso Anozie, Christian Convery, Aliza Vellani, Stefania LaVie Owen, and Dania Ramirez, and it features voice narration by James Brolin.  It’s also worth noting that this series is produced by Susan Downey and Robert Downey Jr.‘s Team Downey production company.

Tech specs for the release include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.20:1 aspect ratio and a lossless 5.1 surround mix — presumably in DTS-HD Master Audio but yet to be confirmed.  You can now find the Blu-ray finally available for preorder over at Amazon.  There will be no bonus materials included with this release.

Jonny Quest: Complete Series on Blu-ray in June

The classic 1964 animated TV series Jonny Quest: The Complete Original Series is coming at some point in June to Blu-ray Disc via (and according to) Warner Archive Collection. They [Warner Archive] posted a tease to it yesterday to social media [Facebook] with some details, but no exact release date. UPDATE: The release date is June 11th. The show, a Hanna-Barbera production created by Doug Wildey, featured a voice cast of Tim Matheson (Johnny Quest), Mike Road (Roger T. ‘Race’ Bannon), Danny Bravo (Hadji), and Don Messick (Bandit). Johnny Quest as a show ran for a total of 26 episodes spanning across 1964 through 1965. All 26 of those episodes will be presented uncut, uncensored, and remastered! So, since there’s no exact release date but a tad bit of info regarding the release let’s start off with tech specs. It will be presented in 1080p HD video (from new masters) in the original 1.33:1 (4×3) aspect ratio with a (lossless) DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 Stereo sound mix. The set will span across three BD-50 Blu-ray Discs and it will also include the following bonus materials.
