Oscar Isaac in The Card Counter on Blu-ray December

The 2021 film “The Card Counter“ starring Oscar Issac is coming to Blu-ray Disc on December 14th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment, according to retailers. The film, executive produced by Martin Scorsese & written and directed by Paul Schrader, co-stars Tiffany Haddish, Tye Sheridan, and Willem Dafoe. It’s worth noting that, at the time of writing, this film is “Certified Fresh” over at Rotten Tomatoes.
The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 1.66:1 (side matted) aspect ratio and DTS-HD Master Audio lossless surround sound, on a BD-50 disc. The release will come with a digital code (copy) of the film, compatible with Movies Anywhere. You can now find the Blu-ray available for preorder over at Amazon. The 2021 dramatic comedy “Here Today“ starring Billy Crystal and Tiffany Haddish is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on August 3rd via Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. The film, directed and co-written by Billy Crystal, and co-starred Penn Badgley, Laura Benanti, Louisa Krause, Anna Deavere Smith, and Nyambi Nyambi.
Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound.

The film, directed by Miguel Arteta, co-stars Salma Hayek, Billy Porter, Jennifer Coolidge, Ari Graynor, Natasha Rothwell, Jessica St. Clair, and Karan Son. Tech specs for the release have not yet been detailed, but I’ve inquired with the studio and I’ll try to update this if I hear back on them. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” with a DVD counterpart and a digital code (copy) of the film included. You can now find the Blu-ray available for preorder over at Amazon. The Secret Life of Pets 2 on 4K and Blu-ray
The 2019 Illumination animated sequel “The Secret Life of Pets 2” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on August 27th via Universal, according to multiple retail listings. The film, directed by Chris Renaud and Jonathan del Val, features the voice talents of Patton Oswalt, Kevin Hart, Harrison Ford, Eric Stonestreet, Jenny Slate, Tiffany Haddish, Lake Bell, Dana Carvey, Bobby Moynihan, Hannibal Buress, and Nick Kroll. Tech specs for the 4K release include 2160p video in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio presented in HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision forms of High Dynamic Range and Dolby Atmos sound. The technical specifications for the Blu-ray release include 1080p HD video in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio and Dolby Atmos sound. Both releases will come in the form of “combo pack” with the 4K getting a Blu-ray included, the Blu-ray getting a DVD included, and both receiving a digital copy (digital code) of the film. Both the 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray are available for pre-order over at Amazon and at retailer Best Buy. Bonus materials set to be included on the releases are roughly detailed and listed below.

Tyler Perry film “Nobody’s Fool” with Tiffany Haddish on Blu-ray in February
The 2018 Tyler Perry written & directed romantic comedy “Nobody’s Fool“ starring Tiffany Haddish is coming to Blu-ray Disc on February 12th, 2019 (just in time for Valentine’s Day) via Paramount. The film co-stars Tika Sumpter, Omari Hardwick, Mehcad Brooks, Amber Riley, and Whoopi Goldberg. Tech specs for the release haven’t been detailed, however you can very likely expect 1080p video and a lossless 5.1 mix. I’ll update this post once I hear any specific aspect ratio and audio format, , so stay tuned. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” with a DVD and Digital Copy of the film included. The 2018 comedy “Night School” starring Kevin Hart and Tiffany Haddish is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on January 1st, 2019 via Universal. The film, directed by Malcolm D. Lee, co-stars Mary Lynn Rajskub, Keith David, Taran Killam, Megalyn Echikunwoke, Anne Winters, Romany Malco, Ben Schwartz, and Rob Riggle.
Tech specs for the 4K release include 2160p video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of High Dynamic Range and DTS:X sound. Kyrie Irving as “Uncle Drew” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray in September
The 2018 film “Uncle Drew” starring Kyrie Irving is coming to both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on September 25th via Lionsgate. The film, directed by Charles Stone III, co-stars Mike Epps, J.B. Smoove, Lil Rel Howery, Shaquille O’Neal, Tiffany Haddish, Erica Ash, and Nick Kroll. It, at time of writing, carries a 65% rating over at Rotten Tomatoes. Tech specs for the release on 4K UHD Blu-ray include full 2160p 4K video in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR 10 forms of High Dynamic Range, and Dolby Atmos sound.
