A Quiet Place 4K Mondo X SteelBook in March

The 2018 film “A Quiet Place” will be getting a 4K UHD Blu-ray Mondo X SteelBook release on March 10th via Paramount. This re-release is timed with the film’s upcoming 2020 sequel (“A Quiet Place Part II“), releasing theatrically later that month. This film was directed by John Krasinski, who starred in the film, and it co-starred Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe, and Cade Woodward. Tech specs will be identical to the previously released 4K UHD Blu-ray with 2160p video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 and Dolby Vision forms of High Dynamic Range and Dolby Atmos sound. The 4K UHD Blu-ray Mondo X SteelBook is now available for preorder over at Amazon and at retailer Best Buy. Bonus materials set to be included on the release, identical to the previous 4K release, are listed below.

The Ten Commandments Blu-ray set March

A Special Edition DigiBook set of both the 1923 silent and 1956 films is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on March 10th via Paramount. Both of these films were directed by the legendary Cecil B. DeMille and are here presented together for the first time in a 3-disc set. The classic 1956 film starred Charlton Heston, Yul Brynner, Anne Baxter, Edward G. Robinson, and Vincent Price. Tech specs have not yet been detailed for the release. So, stay tuned for some updates regarding this release. UPDATE: This Blu-ray set is now available for preorder over at Amazon. Bonus materials, physical and on the disc(s), set to be included are listed below.
- A 16-page booklet featuring rare photos and historical facts about both productions.

Terminator Dark Fate on 4K and Blu-ray January

The 2019 Tim Miller directed sequel “Terminator: Dark Fate” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on January 28th via Paramount. The film, produced by James Cameron, stars Linda Hamilton, Mackenzie Davis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Natalia Reyes, Gabriel Luna, and Diego Boneta. Tech specs for the 4K release include video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 and Dolby Vision forms of High Dynamic Range as well as Dolby Atmos sound. The tech specs for the Blu-ray include the same aspect ratio and Dolby Atmos sound. The 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray are now both available for pre-order over at Amazon. Retailer Best Buy will be getting an exclusive SteelBook 4K UHD Blu-ray release of the film (pictured below) which is also now available for preorder.
Both the 4K and Blu-ray releases will come in the form of a “combo pack” with the 4K getting its Blu-ray counterpart, the Blu-ray getting its DVD counterpart, and both getting a digital code (copy) of the film included. The bonus materials set to be included are listed below.

The Hunt for Red October gets 4K SteelBook

The 1990 John McTiernan directed film “The Hunt for Red October“ will be getting a 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook release on February 25th, 2020, via Paramount. This release is to celebrate the film’s 30th Anniversary through a Limited Collector’s Edition. The film, featuring the Tom Clancy character Jack Ryan (here played by Alec Baldwin), co-starred Sean Connery, John Glenn, Sam Neill, and James Earl Jones. Tech specs for the release include video in the 2.35:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 and Dolby Vision forms of high dynamic range and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 sound. The SteelBook Limited Collector’s Edition release will come in the form of a “combo pack” with a Blu-ray Disc counterpart of the film, which also includes bonus materials (listed a bit below), and a digital code (copy) of the film. UPDATE: This 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook is now available for preorder over at Amazon. Bonus materials for the release include the following.

Gemini Man with Will Smith on 4K and Blu-ray
The 2019 Ang Lee directed Action/Sci-Fi film “Gemini Man” starring Will Smith is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on January 14th, 2020 via Paramount. The film co-stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Clive Owen, and Benedict Wong. Tech specs for the 4K release include HDR10 and Dolby Vision forms of High Dynamic Range at 60 frames per second in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio and Dolby Atmos sound. NOTE: This is the first release to feature Dolby Vision at 60fps, versus the traditional 24fps. Tech specs for the Blu-ray have not yet been detailed but stay tuned for an update. Both releases will come in the form of a “combo pack” with the 4K getting the Blu-ray counterpart, the Blu-ray getting a DVD, and each getting a digital code (copy of the film) included. The 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc are both now available for preorder over at Amazon. It should be noted that retailer Best Buy will be getting an exclusive 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook release (pictured below) which is now available for preorder as well.

The Twilight Zone with Jordan Peele on Blu-ray
The 2019 reboot of “The Twilight Zone“ hosted by Jordan Peele, in its first season (Season One), will be getting a Blu-ray Disc release on February 18th, 2020 via Paramount, according to retailers. The show, which aired on CBS All Access, has been renewed for a second season (next year). Here, in its first season, the show featured cast members like Kumail Nanjiani, Adam Scott, Sanaa Lathan, Steven Yeun, Greg Kinnear, John Cho, Jacob Tremblay, DeWanda Wise, Taissa Farmiga, Ginnifer Goodwin, Chris O’Dowd, Zazie Beetz, and Seth Rogen. Tech specs and bonus materials for the release have not yet been detailed, but it is known that it will be a 5-disc set – including all 10 episodes. I’ll be updating this story later on, once I get some more info regarding this release from the folks at Paramount (or CBS). Stay tuned.
