The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (HDR10 compatible) and Dolby Atmos sound. The release will come as a 2-disc “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart and also include a digital code (copy).

The 2024 film The Surfer comes to 4K in July

The 2024 film The Surfer is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on July 15th via Lionsgate Limited. Lorcan Finnegan directed the film. It stars Nicolas Cage, Finn Little, Rahel Romahn, Nic Cassim, Julian McMahon, Miranda Tapsell, Alexander Bertrand, and Rory O’Keeffe. It’s certainly worth noting that this film is deemed “Certified Fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes, based on reception from critics.

The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision or HDR10 and Dolby Atmos sound. The 2-disc set will be a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart. A digital copy of the film is also included.

The 2006 film World Trade Center is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on August 12th via Shout Select (Shout! Studios). Oliver Stone directed the film. It starred Nicolas Cage, Michael Pena, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Maria Bello, Jon Bernthal, Frank Whaley, and Stephen Dorff.

This features a new 4K restoration supervised by Oliver Stone. The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.85:1 with Dolby Vision and HDR10. It will also feature Dolby Atmos as well as lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and 2.0 Stereo sound. The release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc included.

The 2023 film Renfield is coming to 4K in April

The 2023 film “Renfield” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on April 1st via Scream Factory. The film was directed by Chris McKay. It starred Nicholas Hoult, Awkwafina, Nicolas Cage, Ben Schwartz, Shohreh Aghdashloo, and Brandon Scott Jones.

The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (or HDR10) form of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos, DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround and 2.0 Stereo lossless sound. The 2023 film “Dream Scenario” is coming to Blu-ray Disc on February 27th via Lionsgate Home Entertainment, according to retailers.  The film, written & directed by Kristoffer Borgli, stars Nicolas Cage, Lily Bird, Julianne Nicholson, Jessica Clement, Tim Meadows, Dylan Baker, Kate Berlant, Dylan Gelula, and Michael Cera.  It’s certainly worth noting that this film is “Certified Fresh” over at Rotten Tomatoes.

2002 film Adaptation comes to 4K in December

The 2002 film “Adaptation.” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on December 6th via Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.  The film, directed by Spike Jonze, was based on a book (“The Orchard Thief”) with the screenplay adaptation written by Charlie Kaufman, and it starred Nicolas Cage, Meryl Streep, Tilda Swinton, and Chris Cooper.  It’s most certainly worth noting, that at the time of writing this, the film is still deemed“Certified Fresh” (all these 20 years later) over at Rotten Tomatoes.

This movie has been newly remastered in 4K from the original camera negative.  The tech specs for the release include a 2160p video presentation in the original 1.85:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 and Dolby Vision forms of high dynamic range and a new Dolby Atmos sound mix as well as the original theatrical mix in a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 configuration and even a DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 Stereo sound mix.  The release will only include a 4K disc and a digital code (copy) of the film.  So, again, there will be no Blu-ray with this release.
