The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2003 on 4K August

The 2003 film The Texas Chainsaw Massacre receives a 4K UHD Blu-ray Limited Edition on August 26th via Arrow Video. Marcus Nispel directed the film, which Michael Bay produced and Tobe Hooper co-produced. It starred Jessica Biel, Jonathan Tucker, Erica Leerhsen, Mike Vogel, Eric Balfour, and the late R. Lee Ermey.

The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of HDR with lossless DTS-HD Master Audio in 7.1, 5.1 surround, and 2.0 stereo configurations.

The Limited Edition 4K UHD Blu-ray is now available for preorder at Amazon and directly via Arrow Video. The bonus materials included with this limited edition set are listed below.

The 2025 film Drop on 4K and Blu-ray in June

The 2025 film “Drop” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray on June 10th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. Christopher Landon directed the film. Michael Bay and Jason Blum produced the film. It stars Meghann Fahy, Brandon Sklenar, Violett Beane, and Jeffery Self. It’s certainly worth noting that this film is “Certified Fresh” by critics on Rotten Tomatoes.

The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision or HDR10 and Dolby Atmos sound on a BD-66. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Atmos sound on a BD-50. The 4K release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included. Both releases will include a digital copy of the film compatible with Movies Anywhere.

The 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray are now available for preorder at Amazon. It’s also available for preorder on 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray at online retailer GRUV. Transformers One comes to 4K and Blu-ray in December

The 2024 animated film “Transformers One” is officially slated for releases on 4K UHD Blu-ray, 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook, and Blu-ray Disc on December 17th via Paramount Home Media Distribution. The film, produced by Michael Bay and directed by Josh Cooley, features the voice talents of Chris Hemsworth, Brian Tyree Henry, Scarlett Johansson, Keegan-Michael Key, Steve Buscemi, Laurence Fishburne, and Jon Hamm. It’s certainly worth noting that this film is “Certified Fresh” (by critics) and “Verified Hot” (by audiences) on Rotten Tomatoes.

The tech specs for the 4K and Blu-ray have not yet been fully detailed, but it is known that the 4K release will include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 high dynamic range. The Blu-ray will be presented in a 1080p HD video presentation in 2.39:1 aspect ratio. Both releases will very likely include Dolby Atmos sound, however, that’s still yet to be fully confirmed. The 4K releases will come as a “combo pack” with the Blu-ray counterpart.

Each of the 4K and Blu-ray releases will include a digital copy. The 4K UHD Blu-ray and 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook are now available for preorder at Amazon. However, there is not a preorder listing yet for the Blu-ray on Amazon. Also, you can find the 4K UHD Blu-ray and 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook available for preorder at retailer Walmart, again with no Blu-ray listing yet available, but stay tuned for an update.

“Bad Boys For Life” on 4K and Blu-ray in April

The 2020 sequel “Bad Boys For Life” sure seems to be coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on April 21st, via Sony, according to multiple retailer listings. The film, directed by Michael Bay, stars Will Smith, Martin Lawrence, Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Charles Melton, Paola Nuñez, Kate del Castillo, Nicky Jam, DJ Khaled, and Joe Pantoliano. The tech specs for the 4K and Blu-ray releases have not yet been detailed and bonus materials have not yet been announced but stay tuned for an update once the title gets officially announced, likely this week. The releases will both come in the form of a “combo pack” meaning that the 4K will include the Blu-ray, the Blu-ray will include the DVD, and each comes with a digital code (copy) of the film. You can now find the film on 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray available for preorder over at Amazon as well as retailers Best Buy and Target. Speaking of those retailers, each will be getting its own exclusive release of the film. Best Buy will be getting an exclusive 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook (pictured below) which is now available for preorder. Michael Bay film “13 Hours” with John Krasinski on 4K UHD Blu-ray in June

The 2016 Michael Bay directed film 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi starring John Krasinski is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on June 11th, via Paramount. The film, based on true events, co-stars Pablo SchreiberJames Badge Dale, David Denman, Dominic Fumusa, Max Martini, Alexia Barlier, and David Costabile. The tech specs for the 4K release have not yet been detailed but you can expect a 2160p presentation with at least the HDR10 form of High Dynamic Range and Dolby Atmos sound (as found on the previous Blu-ray). The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” with a Blu-ray Disc and a digital copy of the film included. The bonus materials from the original Blu-ray release will be the only form of extras.
