The 2016 animated film “Zootopia“ is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on November 5th via Disney, according to retailers. The Academy Award-winning film, co-directed by Byron Howard, Rich Moore, & Jared Bush, featured the voice talents of Ginnifer Goodwin, Jason Bateman, Idris Elba, Jenny Slate, Nate Torrence, Bonnie Hunt, Don Lake, Tommy Chong, J.K. Simmons, Octavia Spencer, Alan Tudyk, and Shakira. The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of High Dynamic Range and Dolby Atmos sound. The release will come as a “combo pack” with the Blu-ray Disc and a digital code (copy) of the film. The 4K UHD Blu-ray is now available for preorder over at Amazon. It is worth noting that there will be a 4K UHD Blu-ray Steelbookexclusive release at retailer Best Buy (pictured below).

This news comes via multiple early alerts to retailers. The film, currently still in theaters, includes a pretty stellar cast such as Jodie Foster, Jeff Goldblum, Sofia Boutella, Sterling K. Brown, Brian Tyree Henry, Jenny Slate, Zachary Quinto, Charlie Day, and Dave Bautista – to just name a few. Tech specs for the releases have not yet been fully detailed, nor have the bonus materials (if any) set to be included, but stay tuned for an update. Universal Studios plans to bring the 2017 Brian Shoaf written & directed film “Aardvark” starring Zachary Quinto to Blu-ray Disc on August 7th. The film features supporting performances from Jenny Slate, Jon Hamm, and Sheila Vand. Tech specs for the release include full 1080p HD video in the 2.40:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound. This is available for PRE-ORDER now over at Amazon. The release will come with a Digital Copy of the film. The only bonus material slated to be included on the release is a “Making of Aardvark” featurette.
