Disney film Zootopia comes to 4K in November

The 2016 animated film Zootopia is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on November 5th via Disney, according to retailers. The Academy Award-winning film, co-directed by Byron Howard, Rich Moore, & Jared Bush, featured the voice talents of Ginnifer GoodwinJason BatemanIdris Elba, Jenny Slate, Nate Torrence, Bonnie Hunt, Don Lake, Tommy Chong, J.K. Simmons, Octavia Spencer, Alan Tudyk, and Shakira. The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of High Dynamic Range and Dolby Atmos sound. The release will come as a “combo pack” with the Blu-ray Disc and a digital code (copy) of the film. The 4K UHD Blu-ray is now available for preorder over at Amazon. It is worth noting that there will be a 4K UHD Blu-ray Steelbook exclusive release at retailer Best Buy (pictured below).

The Secret Life of Pets 2 on 4K and Blu-ray

The 2019 Illumination animated sequel “The Secret Life of Pets 2” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on August 27th via Universal, according to multiple retail listings. The film, directed by Chris Renaud and Jonathan del Val, features the voice talents of Patton OswaltKevin HartHarrison Ford, Eric Stonestreet, Jenny Slate, Tiffany Haddish, Lake Bell, Dana Carvey, Bobby Moynihan, Hannibal Buress, and Nick Kroll. Tech specs for the 4K release include 2160p video in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio presented in HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision forms of High Dynamic Range and Dolby Atmos sound. The technical specifications for the Blu-ray release include 1080p HD video in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio and Dolby Atmos sound. Both releases will come in the form of “combo pack” with the 4K getting a Blu-ray included, the Blu-ray getting a DVD included, and both receiving a digital copy (digital code) of the film. Both the 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray are available for pre-order over at Amazon and at retailer Best Buy. Bonus materials set to be included on the releases are roughly detailed and listed below.

“Venom” starring Tom Hardy on 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray in December

The 2018 film “Venom” starring Tom Hardy is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc formats on December 18th via Sony. The film, directed by Ruben Fleischer, co-stars Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze, Reid Scott, Jenny Slate, Melora Walters, and Woody Harrelson.

Tech specs for the 4K release include 2160p video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of High Dynamic Range and Dolby Atmos sound. Drew Pearce film “Hotel Artemis” comes to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray in October

The 2018 Drew Pearce written and directed film “Hotel Artemis” is coming to both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on October 9th via Global Road Entertainment (likely to be distributed by Universal). This news comes via multiple early alerts to  retailers. The film, currently still in theaters, includes a pretty stellar cast such as Jodie Foster, Jeff GoldblumSofia Boutella, Sterling K. BrownBrian Tyree HenryJenny Slate, Zachary QuintoCharlie Day, and Dave Bautista – to just name a few. Tech specs for the releases have not yet been fully detailed, nor have the bonus materials (if any) set to be included, but stay tuned for an update. Both releases come in the form of a “combo pack” with 4K release getting a Blu-ray, and the Blu-ray release getting a DVD, of the film also included. 2017 film “Aardvark” starring Zachary Quinto is coming to Blu-ray in August

 plans to bring the 2017 Brian Shoaf written & directed film “Aardvark” starring Zachary Quinto to Blu-ray Disc on August 7th. The film features supporting performances from Jenny SlateJon Hamm, and Sheila Vand. Tech specs for the release include full 1080p HD video in the 2.40:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound. This is available for PRE-ORDER now over at Amazon. The release will come with a Digital Copy of the film. The only bonus material slated to be included on the release is a “Making of Aardvark” featurette.
