The 2024 film Abigail is coming to 4K in July

The 2024 film “Abigail“ will be released on 4K UHD Blu-ray on July 8th via Scream Factory. Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett co-directed the film. It stars Melissa Barrera, Dan Stevens, Kathryn Newton, Will Catlett, and Giancarlo Esposito. It is certainly worth noting that this movie is “Certified Fresh” by critics on Rotten Tomatoes.

This has received a new 4K presentation from the original elements. The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision or HDR10 form of high dynamic range. There will be Dolby Atmos, as well as lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround and 2.0 stereo sound. The 4K release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart, featuring the new 4K source material.

The 4K UHD Blu-ray is available for preorder at Amazon and Walmart. You can also preorder directly via the ShoutFactory.com store, with a bonus poster included. The bonus materials set to be included with the 4K release are listed below, sorted by disc.

Captain America: Brave New World 4K and Blu-ray

“Captain America: Brave New World” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray on May 13th via Marvel Studios (Disney). Julius Onah directed the movie, which stars Anthony Mackie and Harrison Ford. It co-stars Danny Ramirez, Shira Haas, Carl Lumbly, Tim Blake Nelson, and Giancarlo Esposito.

Several other versions will be released. First off, a 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook will also be available (pictured below).

A 3D pop-up Blu-ray release will be exclusive to retailer Walmart as well. It can be found pictured below, open to show its “pop-up” contents.

At this time, the 4K UHD Blu-ray, Blu-ray, 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook, and pop-up Blu-ray are not available for preorder. But, stay tuned for an update.

Tech specs for the 4K release(s) include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision or HDR10 and Dolby Atmos sound. The tech specs for the Blu-ray release(s) include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 surround sound. The 4K release arrives as a “combo pack” with the Blu-ray Disc counterpart included. The 4K and Blu-ray releases will each include a digital copy of the film compatible with Movies Anywhere.

It’s also worth noting that a “Captain America 4-Movie Collection” is coming to Blu-ray on May 13th. This set is pictured below. It’s not yet available for preorder either. But, again, stay tuned for an update.

The Disney+ original series “Star Wars: The Mandalorian – The Complete Third Season“ will be available on 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook on December 3rd via Lucasfilm (Disney). The show stars Pedro Pascal, Chris Bartlett, Katee Sackhoff, Carl Weathers, Giancarlo Esposito, and Emily Swallow.

The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound, spanning across a 2-disc set (each on a BD-100 disc).

According to retailers, the 2024 film “MaXXXine” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on October 8th via Lionsgate. The movie from A24 studios, written & directed by Ti West, stars Mia Goth, Charley Rowan McCain, Elizabeth Debicki, Giancarlo Esposito, Moses Sumney, Kevin Bacon, Michelle Monaghan, and Halsey. It’s certainly worth noting that the film is “Certified Fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes.

The tech specs and bonus materials for the 4K and Blu-ray have yet to be detailed but stay tuned for an update. It is known that the 4K and Blu-ray will both come as a “combo pack” with the 4K getting its Blu-ray Disc counterpart and the Blu-ray getting its DVD counterpart. “Better Call Saul: Season Six” is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on December 6th via Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. The film, directed & co-written by Bong Joon Ho, starred An Seo Hyun, Byun Heebong, Tilda Swinton, Steven Yeun, Jake Gyllenhaal, Paul Dano, Giancarlo Esposito, and the voice of Jungeun Lee.
