Throw Momma From the Train is coming to 4K in April

The 1987 dark comedy “Throw Momma From the Train” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Special Edition Blu-ray on April 28th via KL Studio Classics (Kino Lorber).
Danny DeVito directed and starred in the movie. It co-starred Billy Crystal, Rob Reiner, Kim Greist, and Anne Ramsey. On a related note, Anne Ramsey received an Academy Award nomination for “Best Actress in a Supporting Role” in the film, back in 1988.
This comes from a new master from a 4K scan of the 35mm original camera negative. The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (HDR10-compatible) high dynamic range, along with lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and 2.0 audio on a BD-100 disc. Tech specs for the special edition Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD MA 5.1 and 2.0 sound, on a BD-50 disc.

The 1983 war drama “Uncommon Valor“ will get a 4K UHD Blu-ray release on March 24th via KL Studio Classics (Kino Lorber).
Ted Kotcheff directed the movie. It starred Gene Hackman, Fred Ward, Reb Brown, Randall “Tex” Cobb, Patrick Swayze, Harold Sylvester, and Robert Stack.
The motion picture has received a new master from a 4K scan of the 35mm original camera negative. The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio, with Dolby Vision (HDR10-compatible) and lossless (or possibly uncompressed) sound, on a BD-100 disc. This 2-disc set will be a “combo pack” with the Blu-ray Disc counterpart.

Wicked: For Good comes to 4K and Blu-ray in January

The 2025 sequel “Wicked: For Good” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on January 20th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. Jon M. Chu directed the movie. It starred Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, and Bowen Yang. It also co-starred Michelle Yeoh and Jeff Goldblum. It’s worth noting that this movie is “Verified Hot” by audiences at Rotten Tomatoes.
The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (HDR10 compatible) high dynamic range, Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-100 disc. Tech specs for the Blu-ray release include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio, Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-50 disc. The 4K releases will each come as a 2-disc set “combo pack” with the Blu-ray Disc counterpart included. Both the 4K and Blu-ray releases will include a digital code (copy) of the film, compatible with Movies Anywhere.
