The 2024 film MaXXXine gets a 4K and Blu-ray in October

According to retailers, the 2024 film “MaXXXine” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on October 8th via Lionsgate. The movie from A24 studios, written & directed by Ti West, stars Mia Goth, Charley Rowan McCain, Elizabeth Debicki, Giancarlo Esposito, Moses Sumney, Kevin Bacon, Michelle Monaghan, and Halsey. It’s certainly worth noting that the film is “Certified Fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes.

The tech specs and bonus materials for the 4K and Blu-ray have yet to be detailed but stay tuned for an update. It is known that the 4K and Blu-ray will both come as a “combo pack” with the 4K getting its Blu-ray Disc counterpart and the Blu-ray getting its DVD counterpart. Each release will include a digital copy. You can now find the 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray available for preorder at Amazon.

The Iron Claw starring Zac Efron on Blu-ray in March

The 2023 film “The Iron Claw” is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on March 26th via Lionsgate. The film, written & directed by Sean Durkin, stars Zac Efron, Jeremy Allen White, Harris Dickinson, Maura Tierney, Stanley Simons, Holt McCallany, and Lily James. It’s certainly worth noting that this film is “Certified Fresh” over at Rotten Tomatoes.

UPDATE: The tech specs for the release include a 1080p HD video presentation in the original 1.85:1 aspect ratio DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” with its DVD counterpart and a digital code (copy) of the film included. The 2023 film “Dream Scenario” is coming to Blu-ray Disc on February 27th via Lionsgate Home Entertainment, according to retailers.  The film, written & directed by Kristoffer Borgli, stars Nicolas Cage, Lily Bird, Julianne Nicholson, Jessica Clement, Tim Meadows, Dylan Baker, Kate Berlant, Dylan Gelula, and Michael Cera.  It’s certainly worth noting that this film is “Certified Fresh” over at Rotten Tomatoes.

You can now find the Blu-ray available for preorder over at Amazon.  The tech specs and bonus materials for the release have yet to be detailed but stay tuned for an update on that soon.  You can expect 1080p HD video in the original 1.85:1 aspect ratio as well as lossless surround sound, likely in a 5.1 configuration.  Below, after the break, you can find the trailer for the film.

Oscar-nominated 2020 film Minari comes to Blu-ray in May

The 2020 multiple Academy Award-nominated film “Minari” is coming to Blu-ray Disc on May 18th via Lionsgate. The film, written & directed by Lee Isaac Chung, stars Steven Yeun, Yeri Han, Alan S. Kim, Noel Cho, and Yuh-Jung Youn.

Tech specs for the Blu-ray release include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound. The release will come with a digital copy of the film. You can find the Blu-ray available for preorder over at Amazon. As mentioned (and noted on the artwork) this film is nominated for a total of 6 Academy Awards, including Best Picture. It’s also worth noting (as on the art) that the film is currently (at the time of writing) “Certified Fresh” over at Rotten Tomatoes.

The 2018 Bo Burnham written and directed film “Eighth Grade“ starring Elsie Fisher is coming to Blu-ray Disc on October 9th via Lionsgate. The film has received much critical-acclaim during its theatrical run. In fact, it carries a “Certified Fresh” label over at Rotten Tomatoes, along with a very impressive 98% (out of 100%) rating, of critics’ ratings – at time of writing. The tech specs for the release include full 1080p HD video in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound. The title is now available for PRE-ORDER over at Amazon. Ari Aster film “Hereditary” comes to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray in September

The 2018 Ari Aster film “Hereditary” starring Toni Collette is coming to both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on September 4th via Lionsgate. The film is, at time of writing this, currently “Certified Fresh” over at Rotten Tomatoes. In fact it’s received quite some critical-acclaim so far.

UPDATE: Tech specs are as follows: The 4K UHD Blu-ray will receive full 2160p 4K video in the 2.00:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound, and both HDR10 and Dolby Vision forms of High Dynamic Range. The Blu-ray will receive full 1080p HD video in the 2.00:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound. The Blu-ray and 4K UHD Blu-ray are both now available for PRE-ORDER.

Each release will come in the form of a “combo pack” with the 4K UHD Blu-ray getting a Blu-ray, the Blu-ray getting a DVD, and with both getting a Digital Copy of the film included. Bonus materials set to be included on the release are listed below.
