Read moreThe 2007 film “Trick ‘r Treat” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray in a limited edition set on October 29th via Arrow Video. The film, written & directed by Michael Dougherty, starred Brian Cox, Anna Paquin, Dylan Baker, Rochelle Aytes, Lauren Lee Smith, Moneca Delain, Tahmoh Penikett, Brett Kelly, Britt McKillip, Samm Todd, and Leslie Bibb.
The movie has received a new 4K restoration by Arrow Films, approved by writer-director Michael Dougherty. The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.35:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range and lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround and 2.0 Stereo sound.
UPDATE: The 4K UHD Blu-ray Limited Edition is now available for preorder at Amazon. You can also find the 4K UHD Blu-ray Limited Edition set available for preorder directly via Arrow Video’s website. As mentioned, the 4K physical media release will come as a limited edition set, and include the following physical extras (pictured below).
It’s certainly worth noting that there will also be an Arrow Store exclusive 4K UHD Blu-ray limited edition set that features the original artwork for the poster. That exclusive 4K limited edition set is available for preorder directly from Arrow Video. The standard bonus materials set to be included with the release are listed below, with more extras to be confirmed later.
The 2024 film “The Bikeriders” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on August 13th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. The film, directed & co-written by Jeff Nichols, stars Jodie Comer, Austin Butler, Tom Hardy, Michael Shannon, Michael Faist, and Norman Reedus. The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-100 disc. Tech specs for the Blu-ray release include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-50 disc. The 4K UHD Blu-ray will come as a “combo pack” with the Blu-ray counterpart included. Both the 4K and Blu-ray releases will include a digital copy. You can find the 4K UHD Blu-ray and the Blu-ray now available for preorder at Amazon. Also, the 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray are available for preorder at online retailer GRUV. This movie has already been released by Paramount Presents on Blu-ray Disc back in April of 2021, as spine number 3 in the series, but this will be its debut to the 4K UHD Blu-ray format – carrying the same spine number. The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 lossless surround sound. This release will only include the 4K disc and no Blu-ray counterpart. It should perhaps include a digital copy, judging from how Paramount Presents has done things so far. The 2024 film “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga” the “Black & Chrome Edition” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on September 24th individually and as part of “Mad Max: 5-Film Collection“ via Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment. The film was directed & co-written by George Miller, known for correspondingly directing all of the previous “Mad Max” franchise films. It stars Anya Taylor-Joy, Chris Hemsworth, Alyla Browne, Tom Burke, George Shevtsov, Lachy Hulme, John Howard, Angus Sampson, and Charlee Fraser. The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound.
“Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga Black & Chrome Edition is a version of the theatrical film which has the color removed in favor of a black a chrome aesthetic. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga Black & Chrome Edition will feature an introduction by director George Miller.”
There will an individual 4K UHD Blu-ray release of this version of the film. Also, the “Black & Chrome Edition” of “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga” will be included with the “Mad Max: 5-Film Collection“ on 4K UHD Blu-ray (pictured below). No Blu-ray version of this collection is planned stateside. This set is now available for preorder over at Amazon, retailer Walmart, and online retailer GRUV. The 2002 horror film “The Ring” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and a limited edition 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook on October 15th via Paramount Home Entertainment. The film, directed by Gore Verbinski, starred Naomi Watts, Martin Henderson, David Dorfman, Brian Cox, and Jane Alexander. Previously released this year as part of “The Ring Collection” set on 4K UHD Blu-ray (by Scream Factory), this will be the first time the film has been available for individual purchase on the 4K UHD Blu-ray format.
Tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound.
