Inglourious Bastards gets limited edition 4K in January

The 2009 film “Inglourious Bastards” will get a limited edition 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc release on January 14th via Arrow Video. The film, written & directed by Quentin Tarantino, starred Brad Pitt, Christoph Waltz, B.J. Novak, Daniel Brühl, Diane Kruger, Eli Roth, and Mélanie Laurent.

The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of high dynamic range and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound. You can now find the limited edition 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray available for preorder at Amazon. The release will come with a good amount of physical extras which are listed and shown below.

The 1988 Ron Howard film Willow on 4K in December

The 1988 film Willow is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook on December 10th via Lucasfilm Ltd. (Disney). It was directed by Ron Howard and co-written and executive-produced by George Lucas. The film starred Val Kilmer, Joanne Whalley, Warwick Davis, Billy Barty, and Jean Marsh.

NOTE: This will be using the 2010 restoration of the movie. The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound, on a BD-66 disc. The release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray counterpart and a digital copy included.

The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 form of high dynamic range and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround and 2.0 Stereo lossless sound, on a BD-100 disc. Tech specs for the Special Edition Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround and 2.0 Stereo lossless sound, on a BD-50 disc. The 4K release will come as a “combo pack” with the Blu-ray counterpart included.

The 1995 film Seven is coming to 4K in January

According to retailers, the 1995 film “Seven” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook on January 7th via Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment. The film, a.k.a. “Se7en,” directed by David Fincher, starred Morgan Freeman, Brad Pitt, Gwyneth Paltrow, R. Lee Ermey, Richard Roundtree, and Kevin Spacey.

The movie has received a 4K restoration from the original camera negative. The film has been restored and remastered from the original VistaVision camera negative.
