Read moreThe 2024 film “We Live in Time,” directed by John Crowley, will be released on Blu-ray Disc on January 7th via A24. It stars Andrew Garfield, Florence Pugh, and Grace Delaney. This movie has been deemed “Certified Fresh,” based on critic reviews, over at Rotten Tomatoes.
The Blu-ray’s tech specs include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and Dolby Atmos sound. The standard Blu-ray is now available for preorder at Amazon. NOTE: This marks one of the first, if not the first, A24 release to get distribution via other retailers for a standard Blu-ray release. However, as you’ll hear me discuss a bit further down, the A24 store will bring out an exclusive Special Edition version on Blu-ray. The bonus materials set to be included with the release(s) are listed below.
It’s certainly worth noting, as previously discussed, that “We Live in Time” will get a Special Edition Blu-ray Disc release available exclusively via the A24 store, in January. It will feature exclusive artwork and packaging as well as physical extras in the form of six collectible postcards featuring on set photography by Peter Mountain. The Special Edition Blu-ray is now available for preorder directly via A24’s store.
The 1997 film “Dante’s Peak” will be released on 4K UHD Blu-ray on May 27th via KL Studio Classics. Roger Donaldson directed the film. It starred Pierce Brosnan, Linda Hamilton, Elizabeth Hoffman, and Charles Hallahan. It also featured Grant Heslov, Jamie Renée Smith, and Jeremy Foley. Brian Reddy, Peter Jason, and Tzi Ma completed the cast.
UPDATED: Note that this title was originally slated for a February release date, but that was pushed back to April. And now it’s been pushed back a month yet again.
The movie has received a brand new master from a 4K scan of the original 35mm camera negative. The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (or HDR10) form of high dynamic range and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound and 2.0 Stereo lossless audio, on a BD-100 disc. This 4K release will be a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included.
The 4K UHD Blu-ray is now available for preorder at Amazon and directly via the Kino Lorber website. The bonus materials to be included with the release are listed below, sorted by disc.

The 2024 film “Wicked” will be released on February 4th on 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. Jon M. Chu directed the movie. It was based on a stage play (with music and lyrics) by Stephen Schwartz, a book by Winnie Holzman, from the novel by Gregory Maguire, and characters created by L. Frank Baum. The film’s cast includes Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, Bowen Yang, Marissa Bode, Peter Dinklage, Michelle Yeoh, and Jeff Goldblum. It’s most certainly worth noting that this film is “Certified Fresh” (based on critics) and “Verified Hot” (based on the audience) at Rotten Tomatoes.
The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (or HDR10) and Dolby Atmos sound on a BD-100 disc. The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 2.39:1 aspect ratio 1080p HD video presentation with Dolby Atmos sound on a BD-50 disc. The 4K UHD Blu-ray release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included. The 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases will each include a digital copy of the film, compatible with Movies Anywhere.
The 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray are now available for preorder at Amazon. It’s also worth noting that there will be several special 4K releases. These include a 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook (pictured below) and a 4K UHD Blu-ray Giftset (pictured further below). Both are available for preorder with the 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook being an exclusive to retailer Walmart and the 4K UHD Blu-ray Giftset available at Amazon (and elsewhere).

The 1975 film “Night Moves” will officially be released on March 25th on 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc via The Criterion Collection. Arthur Penn directed the film, which starred Gene Hackman, Jennifer Warren, Edward Binns, Harris Yulin, Kenneth Mars, James Woods, and Melanie Griffith.
The movie has received a new 4K digital restoration. The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (or HDR10) and uncompressed Mono sound. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with uncompressed Mono sound. The 4K release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart.

The 1995 film “Tommy Boy” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook on March 25th via Paramount Home Media Distribution. The film, directed by Peter Segal, starred Chris Farley, David Spade, Brian Dennehy, Bo Derek, Dan Aykroyd, Julie Warner, Sean McCann, and Zach Grenier. It’s worth noting that this film will be celebrating its 30th anniversary next year in 2025.

The 4K UHD Blu-ray and the 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook (pictured below) are now available for preorder at Amazon. NOTE: This film will not get a standard Blu-ray Disc release on home video. If you want this movie on Blu-ray you’ll have to purchase one of the two 4K UHD Blu-ray releases. This is a strategy from Paramount regarding 4K and Blu-ray releases. All of the legacy bonus materials will be included with these releases.
The 1999 film “Deep Blue Sea” will be released on March 18th via Arrow Video on 4K UHD Blu-ray Limited Edition and also Blu-ray Disc Limited Edition. Renny Harlin directed the film. This movie starred Samuel L. Jackson, Saffron Burrows, Thomas Jane, Jacqueline McKenzie, Michael Rapaport, Stellan Skarsgård, LL Cool J, Aida Turturro, Cristos, and Ronny Cox.
