007: Sean Connery 6-Film Collection on 4K in June

A 007: Sean Connery 6-Film Collection comes to 4K UHD Blu-ray on June 10th via MGM. The distribution is being handled by Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment. A standard 4K UHD Blu-ray set and a 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook Library Case set are available. The six films included in the set are as follows:

  • “Dr. No” (1962)
  • “From Russia with Love” (1963)
  • “Goldfinger” (1964)
  • “Thunderball” (1965)
  • “You Only Live Twice” (1967)
  • “Diamonds Are Forever” (1971)

The tech specs include a 2160p video presentation for each film with Dolby Vision or HDR10. Each film will come with Dolby Atmos and lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 sound. This 6-disc set will include digital copies of the films. Bonus materials will be included, but they have yet to be fully detailed. Stay tuned for an update.

Black Bag is coming to 4K and Blu-ray in May

The 2025 film “Black Bag” comes to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray on May 13th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. Steven Soderbergh directed the film, written by David Koepp. The film stars Michael Fassbender, Cate Blanchett, Naomie Harris, Pierce Brosnan, Tom Burke, and Marisa Abela. It’s certainly worth noting that this is “Certified Fresh” by critics on Rotten Tomatoes.

The tech specs for the 4K release have not yet been detailed. You can expect an update soon. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby TrueHD 5.1 surround sound on a BD-50 disc. The 4K will come as a “combo pack” including its Blu-ray counterpart. Both releases will feature a digital copy, compatible with Movies Anywhere.

The 2023 horror film “When Evil Lurks” will be released on 4K UHD Blu-ray on June 3rd via Shudder. The Spanish language film was written and directed by Demián Rugna. It starred Ezequiel Rodríguez, Demián Salomón, Silvina Sabater, Virginia Garófalo, and Emilio Vodanovich. It’s worth noting that this movie is “Certified Fresh” by critics on Rotten Tomatoes.

The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.35:1 aspect ratio without HDR. It will be in SDR (standard dynamic range). It also features Spanish DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound, with English subtitles. This release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included.

The 2000 film Bring It On will come to 4K UHD Blu-ray on June 24th via Shout Select (Shout! Studios). Peyton Reed directed this movie, which starred Kirsten Dunst, Gabrielle Union, and Eliza Dushku. Additionally, it co-starred Jesse Bradford, Clare Kramer, Nicole Bilderback, Tsianina Joelson, and Rini Bell. It’s worth noting that this film is celebrating its 25th anniversary.

The movie has received a new 4K transfer from the 35mm original camera negative. Director Peyton Reed approved this. The 4K tech specs include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision or HDR10 form of high dynamic range. The audio will be presented in lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround and 2.0 stereo. The release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included.
