The 2018 Chinese film “Shadow” is coming to both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on August 13th via Well Go USA, according to retailers. The film, directed by Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Zhang Yimou (“Hero” / “House of Flying Daggers”), stars Chao Deng, Li Sun, Ryan Zheng, Qianyuan Wang, Jingchun Wang, Jun Hu, and Xiaotong Guan. The film has received much critical acclaim so far. In fact, it (at time of writing) is “Certified Fresh” over at Rotten Tomatoes.
The tech specs for the 4K include 2160p video in the 2.35:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of High Dynamic Range and Dolby Atmos sound. Technical specs for the Blu-ray include 1080p video in the 2.35:1 aspect ratio and Dolby Atmos sound. Both releases include both a Mandarin (Chinese) and English dubbed language tracks with English and Chinese subtitles. The two releases will each come in the form of “combo pack” with the 4K getting a Blu-ray and the Blu-ray getting a DVD included. The 2019 Laika stop-motion animated film “Missing Link“ is coming to Blu-ray Disc on July 23rd via Fox. The film, written & directed by Chris Butler, features the voice talents of Hugh Jackman, Zoe Saldana, David Walliams, Stephen Fry, Matt Lucas, Timothy Olyphant, and Zach Galifianakis. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include 1080p video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 sound. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” with a DVD and digital copy of the film. You can find the Blu-ray is now available to pre-order over at Amazon and Best Buy. The 2019 romantic comedy “Long Shot” starring Seth Rogen and Charlize Theron is coming to Blu-ray Disc on July 30th via Lionsgate, according to early alerts to retailers. The film, directed by Jonathan Levine, co-stars June Diane Raphael, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Bob Odenkirk, Andy Serkis, and Alexander Skarsgård. This movie received much critical acclaim during its theatrical run, in fact, it is “Certified Fresh” over at Rotten Tomatoes – at time of writing.
Tech specs and bonus materials for the release have not yet been detailed but stay tuned for an update when the title gets officially announced by Lionsgate. It is known that the release will come in the form of “combo pack” with the Blu-ray getting a DVD and a digital copy of the film. You can now find the Blu-ray for pre-order over at Best Buy. Meanwhile, Amazon also has the Blu-ray listed for pre-order. UPDATE: It appears no 4K UHD Blu-ray is coming out for this film, as the Best Buy listing has since been removed. Perhaps that was a misprint on their part. Once again, stay tuned for any updates regarding this release.

Tech specs for the 4K release include 2160p video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with both HDR10 and Dolby Vision forms of High Dynamic Range and Dolby Atmos sound. First, retailer Best Buy will also be getting an exclusive 4K Steelbook release (pictured below) which is now available for pre-order. Next, there’s also going to be an exclusive Blu-ray Steelbook release (pictured below) available over at retailer Target which is not yet available for pre-order but stay tuned for an update.
