“Creepshow: Season 1” comes to Blu-ray in May

The 2019 Shudder original TV series Creepshow: Season 1 is coming to Blu-ray Disc on May 19th, via Image Entertainment (RLJE), according to Amazon. The show was based on the first two films of the same title and was produced by Greg Nicotero. In its first season, across six episodes and 12 tales, the show featured guest stars such as Adrienne Barbeau, Tobin Bell, Giancarlo Esposito, Dana Gould, Jeffrey Combs, DJ Qualls, and David Arquette. Tech specs for the Blu-ray have yet to be fully detailed but it is known that you can expect it to span across a 3-disc set. Stay tuned for any updates regarding bonus materials as well for the release, if and when I can get more info regarding it. “Just Mercy” with Michael B. Jordan on Blu-ray April

The 2020 film “Just Mercy” starring Michael B. Jordan and Jamie Foxx is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on April 14th, via Warner. The film, based on a true story & directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, co-stars Brie Larson, Rob Morgan, Rafe Spall, O’Shea Jackson Jr.Karan Kendrick, and Tim Blake Nelson. The film was rather well-received by the critics during its theatrical run, in fact, at the time of writing, this currently carries a “Certified Fresh” rating over at Rotten Tomatoes. The tech specs for the Blu-ray include HD video in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Atmos sound. The release will come with a digital code (copy) of the film. “Glengarry Glen Ross” gets Collector’s Edition Blu-ray

The 1992 film “Glengarry Glen Ross” directed by James Foley will officially be getting a Collector’s Edition Blu-ray Disc release on June 2nd via Shout Select (Shout! Factory). The film starred Al PacinoJack LemmonAlec Baldwin, Ed Harris, Alan Arkin, Kevin Spacey, and Jonathan Pryce. The tech specs and bonus materials for the release have not yet been detailed but stay tuned for an update later this year. It’s known that a set of new bonus materials are being created by Shout! Factory for this upcoming release which will be announced at a later date. You cannot yet find this Blu-ray available for preorder over at Amazon, but stay tuned for an update on that. However, you can now find the Blu-ray already available for preorder directly via Shout! Factory’s website.

“The Current War” arrives on Blu-ray in March

The 2019 Director’s Cut of The Current War is coming to Blu-ray Disc on March 31st, via Universal, according to retail sources. The film, directed by Alfonso Gomez-Rejon and executive produced by Martin Scorsese, featured a cast including Benedict Cumberbatch, Michael Shannon, Nicholas Hoult, Matthew Macfadyen, Tuppence Middleton, and Tom Holland. The tech specs for the Blu-ray include 1080p HD video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 sound on a BD-50 (50 gigabytes dual-layered) disc. The film stars Matthew McConaugheyCharlie Hunnam, Henry Golding, Michelle Dockery, Colin Farrell, and Hugh Grant. Tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include 2160p video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of High Dynamic Range and Dolby Atmos sound. The tech specs for the Blu-ray include HD video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and Dolby Atmos sound. Both releases will come in the form of a “combo pack” with the 4K getting the Blu-ray counterpart, the Blu-ray getting a DVD, and each including a digital code (copy) of the film.
