Amazon Commissions EarnedThe 2000 film “What Lies Beneath“ is coming to Blu-ray Disc on October 5th, via Paramount Home Entertainment. This will be the very first time that the film has been available on Blu-ray in North America. The film, directed by Robert Zemeckis, starred Harrison Ford, Michelle Pfeiffer, James Remar, Miranda Otto, Katharine Towne, Ray Baker, Wendy Crewson, and Diana Scarwid.
The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 lossless surround sound. The release should include all of the previous DVD extras ported over as bonus materials. You can now find the Blu-ray available for preorder over at Amazon.

Wells story “The Time Machine“ is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc, for the very first time in North America, on October 5th via Paramount Home Entertainment. The film, directed by Simon Wells, starred Guy Pearce, Mark Addy, Phyllida Law, Sienna Guillory, Samantha Mumba, and Jeremy Irons.
The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the original 2.35:1 aspect ratio with Dolby TrueHD 5.1 lossless surround sound. You can now find the Blu-ray available for preorder over at Amazon. No info yet on if the bonus materials from the previous DVD release will be ported over or not, but stay tuned for a possible update on that.

The show, which airs on the CW network, stars Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker, Jesse L. Martin, Carlos Valdes, Tom Cavanagh, and Danielle Nicolet.
The tech specs for the seventh season include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 1.78:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound, spanning across 3 discs (BD-50 each). The release will come with a digital code (copy) of the seventh season. You can now find the Blu-ray available for preorder over at Amazon. According to retailer listings, the 1971 film “A Clockwork Orange“ is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on September 21st, via Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. The title has yet to be officially announced by the studio (Warner) but stay tuned for an update on that. The film, written, produced, and directed by Stanley Kubrick, starred Malcolm McDowell, Patrick Magee, Warren Clarke, James Marcus, John Clive, Adrienne Corri, Michael Tarn, David Prowse, Sheila Raynor, and Philip Stone.
The tech specs for the release include a 4K 2160p video presentation in the 1.66:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of high dynamic range and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” meaning that it will include its Blu-ray Disc counterpart and a digital code (copy) of the film, compatible with Movies Anywhere.
You cannot yet find the 4K UHD Blu-ray standard release available for preorder over at Amazon but there is a placeholder page. Also, it is now available to preorder over at retailer Best Buy. It’s most certainly worth noting that there will be a 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook available as an exclusive over at retailer Best Buy (pictured below), which is available now for preorder.

Amazon Commissions Earned“Smallville: The Complete Series“ is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on October 19th, via Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, to celebrate the 20th anniversary. The series ran from 2001 up until 2011 for a total of 10 seasons and 217 episodes. “Smallville” starred Tom Welling, Allison Mack, Kristin Kreuk, Michael Rosenbaum, John Glover, Erica Durance, Annette O’Toole, and John Schneider. NOTE: The first 5 seasons of this show have never been released on the Blu-ray Disc format.
Tech specs for the Blu-ray release include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 1.78:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound for all episodes. This will be a 42-disc set, with 40 discs as Blu-ray Disc (BD-50) and 2 DVDs (for bonus materials). The release will come with a digital code (copy) of the entire series.

There’s no official release announcement yet, but stay tuned for a possible update on that. The show starred Scott Bakula, John Billingsley, Jolene Blalock, Dominic Keating, Anthony Montgomery, Linda Park, and Connor Trinneer.
Tech specs should, judging from previous releases, include 1080p HD video in the 1.78:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound for each season, spanning across a 24-disc set. You can find the Blu-ray set now available for preorder over at Amazon. There’s no official word yet on what all bonus materials you can expect, but I’d say you can expect all of the previous extras ported over or just repackaged. NOTE: All four seasons of the show have previously been individually released on the Blu-ray Disc format, so this set is technically a re-release.
