The 2019 film “Primal“ starring Nicolas Cage is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on July 26th, via Lionsgate, according to retailers.  The film, directed by Nick Powell, co-starred Famke Janssen, Kevin Durand, LaMonica Garrett, and Michael Imperioli.

The tech specs for the release, although not yet official, should include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with [at least] HDR10 and the original 5.1 lossless surround sound originally found on the Blu-ray.  Speaking of that original 2019 Blu-ray, you might want to hold onto it if you like the concept of a “combo pack” — meaning that this release will only include the 4K disc and a digital code (copy) of the film.  No Blu-ray will be included with the release.  You can now find the 4K UHD Blu-ray available for preorder at Amazon.  The only bonus material possible to be included with the release [if ported over to the 4K from Blu-ray] would be “The Making of Primal.”

Below, after the break, you can find the original home video trailer for the film.
