Amazon Commissions EarnedThe 1955 film “Killer’s Kiss“ is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on June 28th via KL Studio Classics. The film, directed and co-written by Stanley Kubrick, starred Frank Sinatra, Irene Kane, Jamie Smith, and Jerry Jarrett.
This comes from a new 4K scan, as noted here: “Brand New Dolby Vision HDR Master – From 4K Scan of the Original Camera Negative.” The tech specs include a 2160p video presentation in Black & White in the 1.33:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 and Dolby Vision forms of high dynamic range and uncompressed or lossless Mono sound. Judging from the cover artwork (pictured above) this release appears it will not come in the form of a “combo pack” and will only include the 4K disc of the film. It also is noted to be a 1-disc set on preorder listings.

Amazon Commissions EarnedThe 2021 film “Cyrano“ is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on April 19th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment (distributing for MGM). The film, directed by Joe Wright, stars Peter Dinklage, Haley Bennett, Kelvin Harrison Jr., and Ben Mendelsohn. It is worth noting, that at the time of writing, this film is “Certified Fresh” over at Rotten Tomatoes.
The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 lossless surround sound on a BD-50 disc. You can find the Blu-ray available for preorder over at Amazon. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” with its DVD counterpart as well as a digital code (copy) of the film included. Only one bonus feature will be on the release and it is listed below.

The film, a remake directed by Paul Schrader, starred Nastassja Kinski, Malcolm McDowell, Ruby Dee, Ed Begley, Jr., Annette O’Toole, and the late John Heard.
The tech specs for the release will include a 2160p video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with at least HDR10 form of high dynamic range. The sound format has yet to be detailed and the extras are now in production, so stay tuned for a later update. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” meaning it will come with its Blu-ray counterpart. The film, directed by Steven Soderbergh, starred George Clooney, Jennifer Lopez, Ving Rhames, Don Cheadle, Luis Guzmán, Albert Brooks, Steve Zahn, Elmore Leonard, and Dennis Farina.
This new presentation comes from a “4K scan of the original camera negative.” The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 and Dolby Vision forms of high dynamic range and both lossless 5.1 surround and 2.0 Stereo sound mixes on a BD-100 disc. The 4K release will come in the form of a 2-disc “combo pack” including its Blu-ray Disc counterpart. The tech specs for the Blu-ray Special Edition include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio and both 5.1 and 2.0 Stereo lossless sound mixes on a BD-50 disc.

The show, as seen on Prime Video, was created by Eric Kripke, and it stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Elisabeth Shue, Colby Minifie, and Aya Cash.
The tech specs for the release include a 1080p video presentation in the 1.78:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound. There’s one problem with that aspect ratio the press release [later shown in full] mentions. The show is actually listed [on IMDb] to air in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio on Prime Video. So, that’s either a typo or an odd choice? We shall soon see. P.S. Fun fact, this show is said to be shot in 7K resolution digitally.
