Friday the 13th: Part 2 comes to 4K in February

The 1981 horror sequel “Friday the 13th: Part 2“ is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on February 3rd via Paramount. NOTE: The movie was earlier released as part of the “Paramount Scares: Volume 2“ 4K UHD Blu-ray box set in 2024. However, this will be the first time that it is available individually on the 4K UHD Blu-ray physical media format. Steve Miner directed the movie. It starred Amy Steel, John Furey, Adrienne King, Kirsten Baker, Stuart Charno, and Tom McBride. The cast also included Walt Gorney and Betsy Palmer.
The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (HDR10 compatible) and lossless Dolby TrueHD 5.1 surround sound. The release will come as a 2-disc “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart, along with a digital copy [AppleTV compatible] included.
