Amazon Commissions EarnedThe 1997 film “Gattaca” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray in a limited edition SteelBook release on March 23rd, 2021, via Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. The film, written & directed by Andrew Niccol, starred Ethan Hawke, Uma Thurman, Jude Law, Gore Vidal, Xander Berkeley, Jayne Brook, Maya Rudolph, Blair Underwood, and Elias Koteas. This movie has been newly remastered in 4K from the original camera negative. The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p presentation in the 2.40:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos as well as DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound. UPDATE: This title on 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook is now available to preorder over at Amazon. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” meaning it will include its Blu-ray Disc counterpart and a digital code (copy) of the film. The bonus materials set to be included with the 4K release are listed below.

Amazon Commissions EarnedThe 1995 film “Gold Diggers: The Secret of Bear Mountain” is finally making its Blu-ray debut on March 9th, 2021, via Mill Creek Entertainment. This will be the first time this film has been available on the Blu-ray Disc format in any region, not just in North America. The film, directed by Kevin James Dobson, starred Christina Ricci, Anna Chlumsky, Polly Draper, Brian Kerwin, Diana Scarwid, David Keith, Gillian Barber, and Jewel Staite. The tech specs have not yet been detailed and no word yet if the release will include bonus materials. This will be the first time this movie has been available in North America on the Blu-ray format. The film, directed by Roger Spottiswoode, co-starred JoBeth Williams, Roger Rees, Martin Ferrero, and Ving Rhames. The tech specs have not yet been detailed and no word yet on if this release will contain any bonus materials. Amazon Commissions EarnedThe 1970 film “Love Story” will be celebrating its 50th anniversary with a new Blu-ray Disc release on February 9th, 2021 via Paramount Presents. This will be spine number #15 in the Paramount Presents series of Blu-ray releases. Note, this film had previously been released on the Blu-ray format back in 2012. The film, directed by Arthur Hiller, starred Ali MacGraw, Ryan O’Neal, John Marley, Ray Milland, and Tommy Lee Jones. This upcoming Blu-ray release will feature a new restoration from a new 4K transfer. There’s no specific info regarding the tech specs yet for the release but stay tuned for a possible update on that. UPDATE: You can now find this upcoming Paramount Presents Blu-ray release available to preorder over at Amazon.

The film is “Certified Fresh” over at Rotten Tomatoes at the time of writing this. The tech specs for the upcoming Blu-ray release of the film include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound.
