An American Werewolf in London Blu-ray set

The 1981 John Landis film An American Werewolf in London will be getting a Limited Edition Blu-ray Disc box set release from Arrow Video on October 29th. The film starred David Naughton and Griffin Dunne. This limited edition set will include a “new 2018 4K restoration from the original camera negative supervised by John Landis.” Tech specs for the release include 1080p HD in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with the original uncompressed Linear PCM Mono 1.0 and DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound. UPDATE: Arrow’s Limited Edition Blu-ray can now be found for pre-order over at Amazon. The bonus materials set to be included on the release will come in the form of some physical extras (pictured below) as well as with some new content which is listed further below, after the break.

Disney’s 1992 animated Aladdin 4K September

The original 1992 animated film Aladdin is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on September 10th via Disney. The film, directed by Ron Clements and John Musker, featured the voice talents of Scott Weinger, Linda Larkin, Jonathan Freeman, Frank Welker, Gilbert Gottfried, and the late Robin Williams. Tech specs for the 4K include 2160p video in the 1.66:1 aspect ratio in HDR10 form of High Dynamic Range and Dolby Atmos sound. The 4K UHD Blu-ray is now available for pre-order over at Amazon as well as over at retailers Best Buy and Target. Speaking of retailers, there will be exclusives in the form of a 4K Steelbook over at Best Buy and a 4K Booklet packaging over at Target. You can find both of those retailers exclusives available for pre-order and pictured below.

The 4K release will come in the form of a “combo pack” with the Blu-ray Disc and a digital copy (code) included of the film. Bonus materials set to be included on the release are listed below.

Rocketman comes to 4K and Blu-ray in August

The 2019 musical/bio-pic “Rocketman” starring Taron Egerton is officially coming to both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on August 27th via Paramount. The film is based on the real-life story of musician Elton John and directed by Dexter Fletcher. Rocketman co-stars Jamie BellRichard Madden, and Bryce Dallas Howard. Tech specs for the 4K include 2160p video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio in HDR10 and Dolby Vision forms of High Dynamic Range with Dolby Atmos sound. The tech specs for the Blu-ray include 1080p in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Atmos sound. Both releases will come in the form of “combo pack” with the 4K getting a Blu-ray included, the Blu-ray getting a DVD included, and each getting a digital copy (code) included of the film itself. Both the 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray are available to pre-order over at Amazon. This release will get two retailer exclusives in the form of a 4K Steelbook (at Best Buy) and a Blu-ray Steelbook (at Walmart). Men In Black International on 4K and Blu-ray

The 2019 film “Men In Black: International” (a.k.a. “MIB International”) is coming to both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on September 3rd via Sony, according to multiple retailers. The film which was directed by F. Gary Gray stars Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson. UPDATE: The title has now been officially announced. Tech specs for the 4K and Blu-ray have not yet been detailed but you can expect HDR10 and Dolby Atmos for the 4K release. Stay tuned for more on specifics for it and the Blu-ray, as I’ll try to get that info out of Sony.

Both of the releases will come in the form of “combo pack” with the 4K getting a Blu-ray Disc, the Blu-ray getting a DVD, and both getting a digital code (copy) of the film. Eight Pixar films come to 4K in September

A total of eight of the Pixar CG animated films are finally coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on September 10th via Disney. The films set to be released are as follows (alphabetically): Brave (2012), Cars (2006), Cars 2 (2011), Finding Dory (2016), Finding Nemo (2003), Inside Out (2015), Ratatouille (2007), and The Good Dinosaur (2015). Tech specs for each of the films would seem to include HDR10 form of High Dynamic Range and Dolby Atmos sound. Each release will come in the form of “combo pack” with the Blu-ray Disc counterpart (including bonus materials) as well as a digital copy (code) of the film.
