The Bad Guys 2 on 4K and Blu-ray in October

The 2025 DreamWorks Animation sequel “The Bad Guys 2” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray on October 7th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. The movie was co-directed by Pierre Perifel and JP Sans. This features the voice talents of Sam Rockwell, Marc Maron, Craig Robinson, Anthony Ramos, and Awkwafina. Its voice cast co-stars Zazie Beetz, Lily Singh, Alex Borstein, and Richard Ayoade. It’s worth mentioning that this film is “Certified Fresh” (based on critics) and “Verified Hot” (based on audience ratings) at Rotten Tomatoes.

The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10, accompanied by Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-100 disc. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-50 disc. The 4K release will come as a 2-disc “combo pack” with a Blu-ray Disc counterpart included. Both the 4K UHD and Blu-ray physical media releases will also feature a digital copy of the film compatible with Movies Anywhere.

Joker Folie a Deux on 4K and Blu-ray in December

The 2024 film “Joker: Folie à Deux” is officially set for release on 4K UHD Blu-ray, 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook, and Blu-ray Disc on December 17th via Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment. The film, directed by Todd Phillips, stars Joaquin Phoenix, Lady Gaga, Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, and Zazie Beetz.

The tech specs for the 4K releases include a 2160p video presentation in a variable of the 2.20:1 and 1.90:1 aspect ratios with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound. The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.20:1 aspect ratio and Dolby Atmos sound. 4K and Blu-ray releases will each include a digital copy compatible with Movies Anywhere. The 2022 film “Bullet Train” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on October 18th via Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.  The film, directed by David Leitch, stars Brad Pitt, Joey King, Aaron-Taylor Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry, Andrew Koji, Hiroyuki Sanada, Bad Bunny, Michael Shannon, Logan Lerman, Zazie Beetz, and Sandra Bullock.

The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound.  Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in 2.39:1 aspect with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound.  Both releases will come in the form of a “combo pack” with the 4K getting its Blu-ray Disc counterpart, the Blu-ray getting its DVD counterpart, and each including a digital code (copy) of the film compatible with Movies Anywhere.

The tech specs for the Blu-ray Disc release include 1080p HD video in the 1.85:1 aspect with Dolby Atmos sound. Both releases will come in the form of a “combo pack” with the 4K getting its Blu-ray Disc counterpart, the Blu-ray getting the DVD, and each getting a digital code (copy) of the film included. The Twilight Zone with Jordan Peele on Blu-ray

The 2019 reboot of “The Twilight Zone“ hosted by Jordan Peele, in its first season (Season One), will be getting a Blu-ray Disc release on February 18th, 2020 via Paramount, according to retailers. The show, which aired on CBS All Access, has been renewed for a second season (next year). Here, in its first season, the show featured cast members like Kumail Nanjiani, Adam Scott, Sanaa Lathan, Steven Yeun, Greg Kinnear, John Cho, Jacob Tremblay, DeWanda Wise, Taissa Farmiga, Ginnifer Goodwin, Chris O’Dowd, Zazie Beetz, and Seth Rogen. Tech specs and bonus materials for the release have not yet been detailed, but it is known that it will be a 5-disc set – including all 10 episodes. I’ll be updating this story later on, once I get some more info regarding this release from the folks at Paramount (or CBS). Stay tuned. “Deadpool 2” with Ryan Reynolds comes to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray in August

The 2018 sequel “Deadpool 2” starring Ryan Reynolds is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on August 21st via Fox Home Entertainment.

UPDATE: Tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray release include full 2160p 4K video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and Dolby Atmos sound. Tech specs for the Blu-ray Disc release include full 1080p HD video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD 7.1 Master Audio sound. A “Super Duper Cut” (extended UNRATED cut) of the film, with an additional 15 minutes will be included. The title is available for PRE-ORDER on both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc now at Amazon. It’s also going to be available in an exclusive Steelbook on both formats over at Best Buy, where you’ll find the PRE-ORDER links to the 4K UHD Blu-ray Steelbook and Blu-ray Disc Steelbook.

The 4K release will come in the form of a “combo pack” including a Blu-ray Disc and Digital Copy of the film. The Blu-ray Disc version will include a Digital Copy of the film.
