The Fantastic Four: First Steps on 4K and Blu-ray

The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio, with Dolby Vision and HDR10, accompanied by Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-66 disc. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 surround sound, on a BD-50 disc. The 4K releases will each come as a 2-disc “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included. Both the 4K and Blu-ray releases will include a digital copy of the film, compatible with Movies Anywhere.

The 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook and Blu-ray are now available for preorder at Amazon. Stay tuned for an update when they [Amazon] decide to add a listing for the standard 4K. In the meantime, you can find the 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook, 4K UHD Blu-ray, and Blu-ray available for preorder at Walmart.

Retailer exclusives (pictured below) include a 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook at Amazon and a Blu-ray with Pop-Up Packaging at Walmart. Each is now available for preorder at each retailer.

Hobbs & Shaw on 4K and Blu-ray in November

The 2019 sequel “Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw” is officially coming to both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on November 5th via Universal. The film, directed by David Leitch, features a cast of Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Idris Elba, Vanessa Kirby, Cliff Curtis, and Helen Mirren. Tech specs for the 4K release include 2160p video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision forms of High Dynamic Range as well as Dolby Atmos sound. The tech specs for the Blu-ray include 1080p video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Atmos sound. Both releases will come in the form of “combo pack” with the 4K getting a Blu-ray, the Blu-ray getting a DVD, and both a digital (code) copy of the film included. You can find the 4K UHD Blu-ray and the Blu-ray Disc both available for pre-order now over at Amazon. It’s worth noting that retailer Best Buy will be getting an Exclusive 4K Steelbook for the release (pictured below) which is also available for pre-order now.

“Mission: Impossible Fallout” comes to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray in December

The 2018 Christopher McQuarrie directed film “Mission: Impossible Fallout” starring Tom Cruise is officially coming to both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on December 4th via Paramount. Admittedly, the release date doesn’t come as a huge surprise, as it had previously been reported here as a rumor but, now we get official confirmation from the studio in form of a press release, which can be found further below, after the break, along with the art for the Blu-ray version.
