How to Train Your Dragon 2025 on 4K and Blu-ray

The 2025 live-action film adaptation of “How to Train Your Dragon” comes to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray on August 12th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. It will also arrive on 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook (pictured in the center above). Dean DeBlois directed the movie. It stars Mason Thames, Nico Parker, Gabriel Howell, Julian Dennison, Bronwyn James, Harry Trevaldwyn, Peter Serafinowicz, with Nick Frost and Gerard Butler.

It’s worth noting that this movie is “Certified Fresh” (based on critics) and “Verified Hot” (based on audiences) at Rotten Tomatoes. The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in two different aspect ratios, including 2.39:1 and 1. 90:1 shifting, with HDR10, on a BD-100 disc. The 4K and Blu-ray will both include Dolby Atmos sound. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in 2.39:1 and 1.90:1 aspect ratios, on a BD-50 disc. The 4K release will come as a 2-disc “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included. A digital copy, compatible with Movies Anywhere, will be included with each version.

The 2025 film “The Phoenician Scheme” comes to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray on July 29th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. Wes Anderson directed and co-wrote the film with Roman Coppola. It stars Benicio Del Toro, Mia Threapleton, Michael Cera, Riz Ahmed, Tom Hanks, Bryan Cranston, Willem Dafoe, Scarlett Johansson, and Rupert Friend. It’s certainly worth noting that the movie is “Certified Fresh” based on reviews from critics on Rotten Tomatoes.

The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.47:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 form of high dynamic range. The 4K will also include Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-66 disc. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 1.47:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-50 disc. The 2005 film “The 40-Year-Old Virgin” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook on August 12th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. Judd Apatow directed, produced, and co-wrote the movie. It starred Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, Seth Rogen, Catherine Keener, Leslie Mann, Jane Lynch, Kat Dennings, and Elizabeth Banks. It’s worth noting that this motion picture is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. This release will include the rated theatrical cut (117 minutes) and the UNRATED version (133 minutes).

The tech specs for the 4K release(s) include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 form of high dynamic range. Knight Rider The Complete Series on 4K in July

The TV show “Knight Rider: The Complete Series“ is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on July 22nd via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. The show ran for a total of four seasons from 1982 through 1986. It starred David Hasselhoff.

The tech specs include a 21-disc set, in 2160p presumably in the original 1.33:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of high dynamic range. The audio format has yet to be announced, but I’m expecting it to be a lossless stereo sound mix for the entire series. Stay tuned for an update on the exact technical specifications.

The 1950 film “Harvey“ is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on August 19th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. Henry Koster directed the movie. It starred James Stewart, Josephine Hull, Charles Drake, Cecil Kellaway, Victoria Horne, Wallace Ford, and Peggy Dow. It’s worth noting this motion picture is celebrating its 75th anniversary.

The tech specs for the 4K included a 2160p Black & White presentation in a 1.37:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range. It will include lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 Mono sound on a BD-66 disc. The 1995 film “Casper” arrives on 4K UHD Blu-ray and 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook on August 12th. Universal Studios Home Entertainment will be doing the releases. Brad Silberling directed the film. The movie starred Bill Pullman, Christina Ricci, Cathy Moriarty, Eric Idle, Ben Stein, and Don Novello. It’s worth noting that this motion picture is celebrating its 30th anniversary. Also, the movie was executive produced by Steven Spielberg with his company, Amblin Entertainment.

The 2021 film “Nobody” gets a limited-edition 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook on July 29th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. Ilya Naishuller directed the film. It starred Bob Odenkirk, Connie Nielsen, Michael Ironside, RZA, and Christopher Lloyd.

EDITORIAL NOTE: This movie was released on the format back in 2021 in a standard 4K UHD Blu-ray. However, this is the first time that it has received a 4K SteelBook in North America.

The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision or HDR10 form of HDR and Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-66 disc. This 2-disc release does come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included.
