The 2000 comedy Road Trip comes to 4K in June

The 2000 comedy “Road Trip” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on June 24th via KL Studio Classics. Todd Phillips directed and co-wrote this movie. It starred Breckin Meyer, Seann William Scott, Amy Smart, Tom Green, Fred Ward, and DJ Qualls. It also co-starred Rachel Blanchard, Paulo Costanzo, Anthony Rapp, Andy Dick, Horatio Sanz, and Ethan Suplee.

The theatrical cut (93 minutes) has received a new master. Paramount Pictures created this new master from a 4K scan of the 35mm original camera negative. The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision or HDR10. It will feature lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround and DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 Stereo sound, on a BD-100 disc. The 2-disc release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray counterpart included. The Blu-ray will include the theatrical cut and the UNRATED cut (94 minutes). That unrated cut comes from an HD master.

Joker Folie a Deux on 4K and Blu-ray in December

The 2024 film “Joker: Folie à Deux” is officially set for release on 4K UHD Blu-ray, 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook, and Blu-ray Disc on December 17th via Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment. The film, directed by Todd Phillips, stars Joaquin Phoenix, Lady Gaga, Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, and Zazie Beetz.

The tech specs for the 4K releases include a 2160p video presentation in a variable of the 2.20:1 and 1.90:1 aspect ratios with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound. The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.20:1 aspect ratio and Dolby Atmos sound. 4K and Blu-ray releases will each include a digital copy compatible with Movies Anywhere. 2019’s much talked about film “Joker” starring Joaquin Phoenix is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on January 7th via Warner. The film, directed by Todd Phillips, co-stars Robert De Niro, Zazie Beetz, Frances Conroy, Brett Cullen, and Marc Maron. Tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray release include 2160p video in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 and Dolby Vision forms of High Dynamic Range as well as Dolby Atmos sound. The tech specs for the Blu-ray Disc release include 1080p HD video in the 1.85:1 aspect with Dolby Atmos sound. Both releases will come in the form of a “combo pack” with the 4K getting its Blu-ray Disc counterpart, the Blu-ray getting the DVD, and each getting a digital code (copy) of the film included.
