2025 Lilo & Stitch on 4K on Blu-ray in August

The 2025 live-action film adaptation of “Lilo & Stitch” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook and Blu-ray on August 26th via Disney.  Dean Fleischer Camp directed the movie. It stars Sydney Elizebeth Agudong, Billy Magnussen, Tia Carrere, Hannah Waddingham, and Chris Sanders. It also stars Courtney B. Vance, Zach Galifianakis, and Maia Kealoha. It’s worth noting that this movie is “Verified Hot” (by audiences) on Rotten Tomatoes.

The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 as well as Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-66 disc. The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 surround sound, on a BD-50 disc. The 4K and Blu-ray will both come as a 2-disc “combo pack” with the 4K getting its Blu-ray counterpart and the Blu-ray getting its DVD counterpart. Both releases will include a digital copy of the film compatible with Movies Anywhere.

You cannot yet find the 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook (pictured below in detail) or the Blu-ray available for preorder at Amazon or Walmart yet. Stay tuned for an update.

Disney’s Lilo & Stitch is coming to 4K in May

The 2002 film “Lilo & Stitch” comes to 4K UHD Blu-ray, for the first time, on May 6th via Disney. Dean DeBlois & Chris Sanders directed the movie. It featured the voices of Daveigh Chase, Chris Sanders, Tia Carrere, Kevin McDonald, Zoe Caldwell, and Ving Rhames. It’s certainly worth noting that this film is “Certified Fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes, based on critics’ reviews.

The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.66:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision or HDR10. It will feature Dolby Atmos sound, with a Dolby TrueHD 7.1 core. The release will come as a “combo pack” with the Blu-ray Disc counterpart included. A digital copy, compatible with Movies Anywhere, will also be included.

The 1993 film Wayne’s World 2 gets a 4K in May

The 1993 film Wayne’s World 2 is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on May 27th via KL Studio Classics. The film, directed by Stephen Surjik, starred Mike Myers and Dana Carvey. The cast also included Christopher WalkenTia Carrere, and Chris Farley. It also featured Kim BasingerAerosmith, and Drew Barrymore. Furthermore, Charlton HestonJames Hong, and Heather Locklear appeared in the film.

The movie has received a new master from a 4K scan of the 35mm original camera negative. The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (or HDR10) and lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround and 2.0 stereo. It will be on a BD-100 disc. This release will come as a 2-disc “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included.
