It seems that Disney has got creative in revealing their release dates for their upcoming home video releases of their films. If you recently attended Walt Disney World (or perhaps Disneyland) you might have seen a promotional bag (pictured below) touting a November 6th release date for the Brad Bird film “Incredibles 2“ on 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc from Disney / Pixar. No information yet on tech specs or bonus materials set to be included on the release, but stay tuned. Below you’ll find a photo from a tweet that shows one of these promotional bags that appears to have been taken at Walt Disney World by the folks at LaughingPalace.
EDITORIAL NOTE: This is considered a RUMOR and should only “be taken with a grain of salt” so-to-speak. Wait for the official announcement from the studio later in the year for the solid (set in stone) release date.
I know, It seems the rumors have been flying around a bit much lately, but we have ourselves yet another one. Thanks to my co-writer (Brendan) noticing a retailer (we will not name) making a slip-up, and leaking the release date, we can tell you when you can LIKELY expect Brad Bird‘s 2018 sequel “Incredibles 2” on 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc. The date my co-writer claims to have seen was “9/14” – September 14th. This would technically come on a Friday, not a traditional Tuesday release. Disney and some other studios have actually done this over the years, so I wouldn’t rule it out as being the case.
However, the traditional (Tuesday) release date is 9/11 – if the date before-mentioned was perhaps removed, because it was incorrect, well then that actually perhaps is the release date? Keep that in mind, but as always with RUMORS, take it ALL also “with a grain of salt,” and wait for an official announcement from the studio (Disney).
Further below, after the break, I’ll be going over all the pre-orders of exclusive versions available at retailers. These are all up and official, just don’t put them together with our RUMORED release date. OK? OK. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge. Moving on.
