Mortal Kombat 2021 comes to 4K and Blu-ray in July

The 2021 version of the film “Mortal Kombat” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on July 13th via Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. The film, based on the popular video game franchise of the same title, directed by Simon McQuoid, stars Lewis Tan, Jessica McNamee, Josh Lawson, Tadanobu Asano, Mehcad Brooks, Ludi Lin, Chin Han, Joe Taslim, and Hiroyuki Sanada.
The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 4K video presentation with HDR10 form of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound. The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation and Dolby Atmos sound. The 4K UHD Blu-ray release will come in the form of a “combo pack” meaning that the 4K will come with its Blu-ray counterpart. Both versions will each include a digital code (copy) of the film.
You can now find the 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc available for preorder over at Amazon. It’s most certainly worth noting that there will be a 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook available as an exclusive over at retailer Best Buy (pictured below), also now available for preorder.
