The 1984 fantasy film “The Company of Wolves“ is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray in “Collector’s Edition” form on November 22nd via Scream Factory (Shout! Factory). The film, directed & co-written by Neil Jordan, starred Angela Lansbury, Sarah Patterson, Graham Crowden, Kathryn Pogson, Stephen Rea, Georgia Slowe, Micha Bergese, and Terence Stamp.
The tech specs for the release have not yet been detailed but you can expect a 2160p video presentation in the 1.66:1 aspect ratio with likely [at least] HDR10 form of high dynamic range. No word yet on the audio but I’m willing to bet that you can expect at least a lossless Stereo 2.0 mix. Also, the extras are “currently in progress” so check back later for an update on that as well. The 2-disc Collector’s Edition release will come in the form of a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included.
You can now find the 4K UHD Blu-ray available for preorder over at Amazon as well as directly via the ShoutFactory.com website, where you’ll get an exclusive poster (while supplies last).
An “Underworld: Limited Edition 5-Movie Collection“ will officially be coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on October 5th via Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. A total of four out of five of the films starred Kate Beckinsale, and the third film starred Rhonda Mitra. The set will include the following five films in the franchise:
“Underworld” (2003)
“Underworld: Evolution” (2006)
“Underworld: Rise of the Lycans” (2009)
“Underworld: Awakening” (2012)
“Underworld: Blood Wars” (2016)
This will be the first time that 3 of the films have ever been available on the 4K UHD Blu-ray format, as the first and last films have been the only ones that were previously released. The tech specs for the releases of each of the films include 2160p presentations in the 2.35:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound. The set will come in the form of a “combo pack” meaning that each film will include a Blu-ray Disc counterpart as well as digital codes (copies) for each film.
UPDATE: You can now find the 4K UHD Blu-ray set available for preorder over at Amazon.
The bonus materials for the films can be found listed entirely below, after the break, along with the full details about the upcoming physical and digital 4K releases of this set.
